Have held my judgement off because of the lack of resources Appleton inherited but that result and the performance is a shocker. I can't knock the selection or shape in the forward line or midfield, they were virtually were nailed on but that back three selection is straight out of a reserve side and they were an accident waiting to happen. From the goalkeeper through Ness, Jones and Thomas, there is no talker, no organiser and no one taking charge. How any Manager could think that the selection of the back three was not flawed is beyond me, he had options and put his faith in that selection. Sorry, I was wrong, he needs to go !
He has to go now . If we don't beat Northampton on Tuesday , looking at our next few games we will almost definitely go down with Appleton in charge.
The first half we were good but once we conceded at the start of the second half we laid down and let Burton tickle our belly . The only player who showed passion was Alfie May and that was more out of frustration than anything.
I just hope behind the scenes they are looking at a replacement for Apples because if they are not , we're looking doomed.
Appleton blaming the players for the second half for not passing the ball forward. So either he did not tell them to or he has no authority.
If the players aren't doing what you want them to THEN FCUKING WELL SHOUT AT THEM UNTIL THEY GET THE MESSAGE. Don't just stand there with your hands in your pockets making a mental note to raise the issue during training next week.

But surely if they aren't taking any notice then he is not the man to be manager. He's condemned himself.
You must have hit your handicap ( again) to reach that level of positivity Golfie !
No, just a case that we can't go on not winning & we are at home. Sadly it will then give Appleton a stay of execution & he will limp on into February where we have a hard set of matches.
He will be sacked before the end of the season though.

If there is any truth with that Scott and him do not see eye to eye then possibly this is the reason. Holden had issues I gather.
He's a dead man walking. Fleming will take over soon if the clowns do not go wild and appoint Nigel Pearson.
I don't want him in charge on Tuesday a win with him just keeps him in place.
We can go down but change now and there's a chance of getting our if it.
He's lost the dressing room, lost us and the Board need to show some balls and get rid.
Toxic will not be the word on Tuesday if he's still here....Northampton have won 7 out of the last 11 so it's hardly a walk over...
