  • I've always felt that watching Charlton you never know what you're in for, good bad or even the ugly, let's hope for a result for a change, not pretty but 2-1 Addicks.
  • Am I the only one who thinks we go on a decent run now, if we get behind the team? Maybe I need to take off the red tinted glasses off.
    3-0 Addicks!
  • Just cant see them playing for him. 0-1

If we can defend properly and play the two new defenders instead of Jones and T Watson we’ve got a good chance of winning. And hopefully Fleming will have drilled them as a unit yesterday. Three points please 🤞COYRs
  • A crap game with more appalling defending.
    2-1 to Northampton.

Apples attacks the Covered End at full time in full psycho mode...
  • Have a weird feeling that we might start this one very positively, and be three up by half time. Then it's just a case of whether we can hang on or not?

3-2 win and sour Apples continues to go mouldy for another week...
  • I think we’ll win this.

It’s the next run of games that we have a major issue.
  • Getting in the mood.
    Playoff final on Sky.
    Ben Purrington just equalised.
    Allez, allez, allez!
  • I’m coming!
Will be in the fans bar pre match to hand over a shirt for the museum.
Then behind the dugout to get a last chance to give Apples some traditional Irish hospitality 🤗
    I can’t wait 😎

Coming straight from work so will come and have a pint with you in fans bar @KBslittlesis if that’s ok?

    3-0 Addicks!
And if we don't is it our fault?
  • I think we'll win easily this eve and within 5 mins of FT someone who doesn't go to matches will start a thread with a snide remark about how everyone has been wrong all along about Appleton.

2-0. Ladapo with one of them
  • Not sure I've ever been less enthusiastic for a game.
  • Sadly a no win situation for the fans, 3 points and the plonker carries on, lose and possibly the easiest of wins over the next few games is out the window :'(

    Of course!
It's more than OK, it's blooming marvellous Smudge 🤩
  • Just hope it doesn't turn nasty. Everything seems so toxic and shambolic.

Appleton is not the right man for the job but he does not deserve mass abuse by thousands of angry Addicks.

Save it for Methven and Co who appointed him and who are driving the club into the abyss.

I hope we win 6-0 and Scott sacks Appleton.

    And then sacks himself.

    1-1.
I hope we win 6-0 and Appleton sacks Scott.
  • Not looking forward to the game tonight but I will be there as always, we desperatly need a win, which I hope we get but fearing a defeat or just as bad really a draw.

Even if we do win tonight, unless its a fantastic & convincing performance I hope they fire Appleton, I have no belief he will ever get us promoted and I dread him playing a part in wasting yet another season for us if he gets to stay in charge through the summer.
  • Feeling oddly optimistic for this one despite everything taking place on & off the pitch.

We have added some real quality to the squad who have had a few extra days to bed in than they had for the Burton match. I think/hope that will make the difference tonight.

    2-0 to Charlton.

I have never experienced the Covered End not behind the team from the start, if terrible tactics and individual performances change that during the match then those in the dug out & on the pitch should blame themselves but often easier to blame the fans.

I think we may see some boos as Appleton walks from tunnel to dugout, but then after that it will be supporting the team

If we go behind I’m sure that will change but we do need to make ourselves heard so that they are clear Appleton is not wanted here
  • I'd forgotten how much 'acting' went on at the end of that play off final.

    C'mon baby now............twist & shout! 🤗
  • 2-0 to Northampton. All they will do is press the defenders and keeper until a mistake costs us a goal, and given the lookof the weather tonight with predicted winds of 26 mph then a cooked up pass
Or clearance from us is bound to happen.

    See you there ! x
  • Should read cocked up. Americans do not get English  no idea what dictionary they use.
  • Asiimwe in the Under 21’s this afternoon, so Watson still at RWB or the new lad Edmonds Green

Let’s hope then with a change of personnel in defence they don’t go off the boil 😉
  • Never in my lifetime so far have Northampton Town beaten Charlton away from home. It isn’t about to start now 3-1 victory to Charlton.
Bonus followed this Saturday with a clean sheet at Blackpool 0-1 .
6 points from two games enjoy .👍
