Lovely news... One of my favourite players at the club, didn't expect longer than 2-years actually
  • Excellent news.

    More good news.

Yes, we've had some bad news, very  bad, over the last 24 hours but we've had some good over the past few weeks.

Looking forward to another 10-15 posts of people spelling his surname as “Ramsey”
You’ve got four years of it!

Hope this doesnt get buried under all the bad stuff from the last 24 hours.... because this is a great bit of news. It's a bit of a shame that this will get partially lost compared to Lloyd and TC with everything else going on.

With our defensive crisis we need him back fit ASAP - wonder how much longer he is out for?

It’s good news, but the real great news is that @Dave Rudd is going to get to hear what Jim “The Rodfather” thinks about it… 🤣

He actually wants to be here! :o

"After completing his move to Charlton, Ramsay said: “As soon as I got told Charlton were interested I knew it was time to come back home. I think I’m ready and at the right age to come and be near my family. Being around everyone will push me and give me that extra edge.”

Feb 2024.... He's been great since, when fit.

Brilliant, the lad gets us. It’s been a horrible twenty four hours but that has to lift our spirits.

Delighted. Not that long ago I had resigned myself to him leaving! Excellent work.

My shoulders visibly sagged when I discovered that Rodwell was 'delighted'.

Come on, Jim.  I gave you some viable alternatives and you have simply spurned them.

    Up your game.

Felt he would leave, maybe on a free or in Jan for a small fee, delighted he is here long term and can be our RB for the next few years or move on for big money in a few years

four years seems generous, I wonder if he is the player of 18months ago.

Happy he is staying. To be honest, I wasn't that worried about him being targeted by other clubs, as while he was decent last season, he didn't stand out like Jones or to a lesser extent TC.

Like with TC, its a 3 year extension, 4 years including this one. So if he does well this year, we get to keep him for another one prior to having to sell him or renegotiate.

Seems like if there is a decent chance they could be worth any money, its the minimum length that allows us to get a decent share of it.

I guess the club reckons that hopefully most will come off, but there's a risk some wont.  Better chance with players you know

He'll still have 2 years left at that point, so while if he's a success we may want to extend, it'll hardly be a sell or extend situation.

A shame Jones only signed a 2 year deal, as in a year's time, we'll be in the same situation as this summer.

Yeah sorry thats what i meant, we would still be in a good negotiating position at the end of next year, rather than being worried he was beading into his last year

  • Good news. He needs to improve his fitness and availability.

He is championship is just a harder level but it was his first season as well would have learnt a lot from it.

I think some people are letting the Millwall performances cloud their judgement on him as a player as well
  • He needs to stay injury free but if he does I’d happily see him go for a good fee. Feel that way about all the contract extensions
