Lovely news... One of my favourite players at the club, didn't expect longer than 2-years actually5

More good news.
Yes, we've had some bad news, very bad, over the last 24 hours but we've had some good over the past few weeks.11 -
You’ve got four years of it!VanbrughHill said:Looking forward to another 10-15 posts of people spelling his surname as “Ramsey”9 -
Great news. Club has surpassed all my expectations with these renewals. Fantastic.7

Indeed he does!sam3110 said:He also absolutely fucking loves it here, just throwing that out there0 -
Hope this doesnt get buried under all the bad stuff from the last 24 hours.... because this is a great bit of news. It's a bit of a shame that this will get partially lost compared to Lloyd and TC with everything else going on.
With our defensive crisis we need him back fit ASAP - wonder how much longer he is out for?6 -
It’s good news, but the real great news is that @Dave Rudd is going to get to hear what Jim “The Rodfather” thinks about it… 🤣2

Feb 2024.... He's been great since, when fit.Oggy Red said:He actually wants to be here!
"After completing his move to Charlton, Ramsay said: “As soon as I got told Charlton were interested I knew it was time to come back home. I think I’m ready and at the right age to come and be near my family. Being around everyone will push me and give me that extra edge.”0 -

Good news - hopefully not out for too much longer, he’s needed!1
-
Good news - been very impressed this summer at the work done to tie down Cambell, Jones and Ramsay.2
-
Suck it Torino7
-
Great news - one of our premium players and vital to keep them if we r to progress1
-
HMS piss the league is back on2

Brilliant, the lad gets us. It’s been a horrible twenty four hours but that has to lift our spirits.3
-
Delighted. Not that long ago I had resigned myself to him leaving! Excellent work.1

My shoulders visibly sagged when I discovered that Rodwell was 'delighted'.AFKABartram said:It’s good news, but the real great news is that @Dave Rudd is going to get to hear what Jim “The Rodfather” thinks about it… 🤣
Come on, Jim. I gave you some viable alternatives and you have simply spurned them.
Up your game.4 -
Felt he would leave, maybe on a free or in Jan for a small fee, delighted he is here long term and can be our RB for the next few years or move on for big money in a few years0
-
4 year deals for two top, young players... The club deserve a lot of credit here0

four years seems generous, I wonder if he is the player of 18months ago.4

Happy he is staying. To be honest, I wasn't that worried about him being targeted by other clubs, as while he was decent last season, he didn't stand out like Jones or to a lesser extent TC.1
-
Like with TC, its a 3 year extension, 4 years including this one. So if he does well this year, we get to keep him for another one prior to having to sell him or renegotiate.Seems like if there is a decent chance they could be worth any money, its the minimum length that allows us to get a decent share of it.I guess the club reckons that hopefully most will come off, but there's a risk some wont. Better chance with players you know0
-
He'll still have 2 years left at that point, so while if he's a success we may want to extend, it'll hardly be a sell or extend situation.Alwaysneil said:Like with TC, its a 3 year extension, 4 years including this one. A shame Jones only signed a 2 year deal, as in a year's time, we'll be in the same situation as this summer.1 -
Yeah sorry thats what i meant, we would still be in a good negotiating position at the end of next year, rather than being worried he was beading into his last yearkillerandflash said:

Great news I thought he was off at the end of the season with so little news about his renewal0
-
Good news. He needs to improve his fitness and availability.0
-
Glad he's signed and thsk god we've got decent competition at rb whilst he's injured, hopefully back challenging again soon0
-
He is championship is just a harder level but it was his first season as well would have learnt a lot from it.msomerton said:four years seems generous, I wonder if he is the player of 18months ago.I think some people are letting the Millwall performances cloud their judgement on him as a player as well2 -
He needs to stay injury free but if he does I’d happily see him go for a good fee. Feel that way about all the contract extensions1
