Chuks is out of contract in 18 months. Now is the time to open talks on an extension, it's important not to let your best players run their contracts down. Kidding. Kind of.
Once again we will be bringing too many new players into the club.
Not forgetting if the club is relegated some more players will be asking to leave.
Turnover is too great for success.
Really hope Nathan has a good look at him when pre season training starts & gives him a fair crack of the whip alongside the other defenders.
A real prospect IMO & one we don't want to lose.
Mitchell got rave reviews early on in his time at Colchester. Don't know how he's done in the last couple of months. But I think there is a lot of talent there, especially for someone still so young.
CB is a really tough position for a youngster to play, it's much easier to play as a youngster as a full back where your defensive errors are less likely to be punished, and your lack of strength less of a problem.
If we drop to that number we probably need to ship out some of the lesser quality, surplus players from our legacy transfer policy and improve upon them. Players like Gillesphey, REG, Ward, Fiorini, Bakinson and Ladapo... Oh!
