But that Halifax club was dissolved in 2008 - FC Halifax Town was formed after that, placed in Northern Premier League - we have played them once in FA Cup 2011
True but they claim the history, like Bury do, and AFC Wimbledon with the original Wimbledon. So could be argued either way, but fair point.

Ok - I’ll take it on the chin - I agree re the history aspect
Northwich and Ascoli are correct. We've played Kettering 3 times.
Really? I was only aware of the one FA cup game at Selhurst in my lifetime. What were the other two?
I ask out of interest having been a local for the best part of 33 years. (I go pub quizzing there every other week where their leading goal scorer of all time, Roy Clayton, from team 'Up the Baggies' has the dubious pleasure of sitting at the table next to us and often marks our answers 😉 He was a mainstay of Ron Atkinsons glory days at Kettering, when they were are bit higher than lower seventh tier and played at Rockingham Road (sadly now a housing estate 😟)

1927/28 FA Cup. We drew 1-1 at home, then won the replay 2-1 away from home. So quite a bit before the Selhurst game.
As yesterday's brain teaser went down well I thought I'd throw another out at you all.
Can you name our top goal scorer for every season from 1920/21. League and Cup goals only, FRIENDLIES DO NOT COUNT! The war league years also do not count.
In some years we had joint top scorers, so some seasons have more than one answer. To help out I've put the years below, and the goals total. To make it tirickier though, you must give the player and the year(s) they were top scorer - Just sending a load of names will not count as a correct answer.

Entertainingly.
(As in, we've only ever played brilliantly and entertainingly once each).
