My previous car used (stupidly expensive) Shell Helix 10W-60 racing spec oil. My current car doesn't (5W-40). So the lawn mower gets what I had left over. It might be the only lawn mower anywhere using the same fully synthetic oil as F1 cars. On that basis, I think it shouldn't need servicing although I might clean the spark plug and air filter I suppose.
Edited to add: It also uses 99 Octane petrol. This because the E5 stuff has less water in it than the regular E10 stuff. Which is much better for it when it is in winter hibernation.
