Vince Power RIP

If you are a music fan of a certain vintage who supports live gigs, then you have almost certainly been to one promoted by, or at a venue owned by Vince Power. Irish born, London based promotor who founded among others, The Mean Fiddler. He didn't always get everything right, but he had faith in booking bands and acts that others didn't, and gave many an upcoming band a platform to showcase their talents. RIP Vince.

  • Thats a shame, as a fan of live music he enabled me to see, in my home county. Paul Weller and Roger Daltrey, Prince, Bob Dylan, and quite possibly the best of the time one day line up in 2009 of editors, doves, ladyhawke, the twang at the hop farm.

As someone involved in that world he probably wasn't always a nice person but he was definitely a music person and the one time I met him he was good company

    Rest in peace
  • RIP Vince
