To be fair he was signed in mid-March. It's not as if you have a wide pool of talent to pick from at that point of the season.
Agree, I think bringing in so many with Luton connections in the summer is the bigger worry.
Luton benefitted from him (or his recruitment team) having to find players with both the ability and right attitude. He couldn’t bring in players he managed before as it was his first job as a first team manager.
We’ve suffered from Jones bringing in so many that have done it for him before. Overall they aren’t the players they used to be for whatever reason. It’s not helped by “big” signings like Ahadme and Docherty not working out either.

Re your final paragraph, I'd not be surprised if Jones went for players he new because he was told the kitty was bare. A bit like Garner and Swindon.
