Greek Archaeologists have argued that a stone plaque provides evidence of football training sessions undertaken in the fourth century BC

They believe it provides the very first known depiction of a player demonstrating the skills required for the game of Episkyros in which two teams of 12-14 players competed to get the ball over the opponents' line.
Looks like shin-pads didn't feature along with any kit at all !
