So sorry to hear about losing Oscar, what a lovely boy he was. It is hard when you lose a beloved member of your family, but you'll always have your memories.Redvalleyeast said:Thank you. Dry food only foe a couple of days at a time. There are ones that do wet food, but I'd rather not have the ballache of that.usetobunkin said:
Do the Cat feeders keep the food fresh by chilling? Or do you just feed your cats dry food?Leroy Ambrose said:
Cat feeders - massive time saver and great when I go away for a couple of nights for work. My three are pretty self sufficient, come and go as they please so with the feeders they look after themselves while I'm away. Barely even notice when I come back, the bloody ingrates!DaveMehmet said:
What are those 3 black units under the desk mate? Assuming they’re IT related?Leroy Ambrose said:Remember the cheeky minx who kept turning up in my house? She's practically moved in now. Comes in three or four times a day for some fussing (and food...)

I have a very small water feature in my garden (Basically on old whisky barrel cut in half)
It has some water Iris and other small aquatic plants.
It's home to a goldfish 1 of 4 we purchased in 2004
Three of the gold have died over the years, but Kiely (named by my then 11 yr old son now 32)
Is still going strong, anybody have any idea how long a goldfish will live?
We of course love the little chap no end. But we suddenly realise how old he is.I f any fish expert can tell us how old he could get and what we should do to make him happy.1 -
20 to 30 years for a goldfish in an outside pond with good oxygen levels, disclaimer :-), I am no expert, just googled it.
I have a raised pond with a waterfall, my oldest surviving goldfish is at least 12/13 years, survived a heron attack that took all but him or her, have now put a protective cover over the top, hope that helpsusetobunkin.
Just to add stuff I do know , oxygenating plants will help plus if you can get any water flow in the pond, a solar waterfall for example instead of a full on waterfall, though the latter would be more ideal.1 -
Thanks for the great advice, I go to CL before googling.cblock said:20 to 30 years for a goldfish in an outside pond with good oxygen levels, disclaimer :-), I am no expert, just googled it.
