Tom Toal

I can't recall reading anything about this chap on CL and as nothing came up from him on search function, I thought that I would bring his name up. No he's not our latest potential signing but a stand up comedian who hails from Bexleyheath and is a big Charlton fan who watches not just the men's side but also goes to see the women's team with his daughter. The only reason I know about this is that he was the warm up act for Troy Hawke on Friday at the Brighton Dome and he did a section about this in his act. It was a most enjoyable set that went down very well with the audience and if he happens to be on CL, I hope that his career continues on an upward curve.

  • From his stand up video his dad sounds like the real comedian.

That video was taken seven years ago.

Not saying he isn't funny but his dad is a legend with his April fools joke, if true.

Tom is a top bloke. I know him from my college days and we share a good mate, although I haven't seen him in a good long while personally. If you liked his set, he's also very funny on the 'After All This Time, Always' podcast.

I see him once a month at "The Star" Plumstead Common as he arranges and MC's the monthly Comedy night upstairs. A bargain and every one I have seen has been a top line up. Recommended !! (every 1st Wednesday bar August break). A nice bloke and very funny - said Troy has done the Star before and hopes to get him back again.

Also does The Kings Arms Bexleyheath.

Absolutely fantastic. There's nothing crude about his comedy, offensive to any degree and his comedy is brilliantly constructed. His delivery has obviously been influenced by John Cleese. His real name, for those that aren't aware, is Milo McCabe and he is the son of Mike who did appear on the '70s show The Comedians so it is in his blood.

I have seen him at the Kings Arms too, which is a walk away for me, but I prefer The Star.  Both great pubs and great beer, and I love local live Comedy (no CAFC jokes lol).
