  • I’d heard he was ill, really sad news, an absolute bull of a player, every team needs one that bullies defence, same age as me, sobering.
  • Very sad. Like many others on here, I saw him play against us.

    RIP
  • RIP Kevin Campbell.
A lovely south London lad who had a top Football career yet stayed humble.
  • Think it was 1997/8 we played up at Forest and a good few of us had a meal/lounge in the home end and the Forest players were in there afterwards,  Campbell was a top man pleased to hear a London accent and told us where to go on our night out .
Few weeks later think it was an FA Cup game and we’d done the same at Charlton and were in The lounge and Kevin Campbell clocks us all and comes over for a chat, lovely fella good banter and always a big smile on his face
    RIP Kevin , top man
We had some good games with Forest back then.
  • I like him even more after hearing Danny Murphy got clattered by him in a reserve team game, putting DM out for weeks.
Unintentional apparently. Yes, Danny, of course it was.
  • RIP Kev. Another life taken too soon, but you sure did burn bright in the time you had.

Serious concerns over the hospital care of former Arsenal and Everton footballer Kevin Campbell have been flagged up by a health trust, an inquest has heard.

Mr Campbell, 54, died at Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI) on 15 June after being admitted a month earlier.

Coroner Zak Golombek said Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, which manages the hospital, had declared a Level 5 patient safety incident - the most serious category - about aspects of his care.

  • Losing a loved one is bad enough, to then read this is shocking.
You have to feel for Kevin's loved ones.
  • Vert sad. Too young. RIP
