Motorhome travels

Away for the weekend at a 40's weekend, tomorrow wearing 40's is the done thing. Any idea what my 40's outfit might be?

@Redmidland still has his demob suit from WW2, I’m sure he’d loan it to you. 😉
  • Have a great time Appy, always been my dream to have a motor home, must have a bit of Gillingham blood in the family tree somewhere.

    Suffering from campervan envy...

It may be a function of my age, or just that I realise that I'm hideously unpleasant to be around.

Camouflage? Might be useful with speed cameras also!

We‘re just about to take delivery of our first camper van and I was looking into camper van/motorhome specific GPS apps. Ones that allow you to put in the height, width and weight of the vehicle and takes that into account when planning a route. Does anyone have any experience.

I’m also looking into fitting a dash cam if anyone has any recommendations.

    Thanks.

Bought a caravan last year, found a Garmin van nav which seems to work OK, decent size screen as well. Google it, should find it easily but if not ping me a message and I will dig it out of the car and send you the model number. Entered all the size and dimensions for the rig.

    Thanks for your replies.

I am trying to avoid buying another thing to stick to the windscreen and am trying to go via an app which I can mirror to the van’s system using Apple CarPlay.

I’ve downloaded Sygic Truck on a 6-day trial which includes RoadLords (same maker?) as suggested by @AppyAddick above. It claims to be used by 4 million+ users and covers all sorts of trucks, RVs, etc. I’ll see if it’s worth upgrading to the pro version, although the free version does seem to do what it says on the tin.
