  • Hopefully he will be the Millwall equivalent of Michael Turner, someone with obvious ability, but in a position where they are very strong, and thus not getting a look in.

But are they particulary strong in that area?

Let's not forget that we’re (seriously) flirting with relegation before Mr Millwall returned, which suggests that their CB's ain't all that.
Not massively. Tangaga doesn’t look like he is signing, Hutchinson has been let go. Cooper is no spring chicken and turns slower than milk these days. Harding is ok ish. I could be wrong, as I’ve not actually seen him play, but I’m pretty sure if Mitchell was up to it then this would be his season to break through in to the first team.
Last season you only let in 55 goals, that's 2 fewer than Ipswich, the season before 50, you've been solid at the back for a while now. Cooper is only 29.

Only scoring 45 goals is why you flirted with relegation.

    Just turned 42
Funnily enough though he's 22, their website describes him as 26

Didn’t realise he was that old. I suppose if he hasn’t broke in to our first team now then he never will.

Good luck to him. We’ve probably got a few other rejects knocking about in our reserves that could do a job at your level.
    Sorry, just read that he’s not 26 he’s 22 🤷🏻

shows how much I know about our reserves 😆
Unlike Charlton fans scum mates , they know what a great prospect he is 🙄
my scum mate said never heard of him

Of course he could be Morrison or he could be Lavelle fingers crossed he’s good enough to get out of this shithole
  • Can’t believe we’ve turned into a feeder club for Millwall, let’s hope he’s half decent 🙄

It looks to me like Millwall are the feeder club to Charlton.
  • anyone got a highlights  reel of this new chap?

Keep hearing he's very aggressive on the pitch. That's the #1 thing we've lacked at the back. Thomas and Hector were alright in certain areas but both too passive. They didn't have that hunger and anger to keep the ball out the net or dominate their man. Hopefully this is a huge upgrade and we start to see just what we've been missing.
We've missed that since Pearce retired - a mad bastard who genuinely loved a scrap and was willing to put his boot through man and ball alike.
Christ, it's like Ryan Inniss never existed.
Well he was around occasionally when he wasn't suspended, injured or both. Hopefully Mitchell will be just a little bit more reliable.

The club posted one, but it was of him scoring a couple of goals. Maybe when we sign a striker we’ll get highlights of them getting tackles in.

I take it you didn’t go to the away match in plough Lane then…

  • Yeah, hoping for some Inniss Energy without the meltdowny bits

Can still picture Ryan Innis with his 2 footed tackle sliding along the pitch, like he’s on a tobaggon, oh those were the days…

A lot of that is down to the players we’ve had in on loan. This season it was Tanganga from spurs, last season Cresswell from Leeds, the season before that Ballard from Arsenal, they was all superb for us but All players we’ve been unable to sign on permanent deals. Along with Hutchinson still playing regularly then.

Mitchell, for a CB, should be coming in to his own now at 22. I’d like to think if he was good enough for this level he’d be bought in to the first team now instead of relying on the loan market again.

Will be interested in seeing how he does at yours. I genuinely hope he does well as it’ll mean a bigger sell on fee when he comes to being sold on.

    Impressive signing :)

If we’re aiming for young players in the second division who aren’t getting a match but doing well on loan elsewhere, then I might start getting a flicker of hope back.

Championship down to League 1, I cry out for players coming in at levels above us.

Get the impression he could have been shown how to do it by Thomas Saandgard?  :)

And Luton’s. I’ve lost track of how many years in a row we’ve signed one of their players.

True. We've even had their old manager dumped on us

  • A footballer without tats, what’s going on?
  • He looks the same age as Jason Pearce
  • Cawley says the fee was about 200k with “significant” sell ok on the SLP pod
