.... now that Darren Bent is a spud, is it acceptable to start referring to our own Marcus Bent simply by his surname?

    Spuds are obviously coming in for Marcus too then - £16.5m plus add-ons seems fair

    He did before Marcus came along - I guess most fans are not likely to buy shirts that just say 'Bent' on the back. I should've noticed, but does our Bent have "M Bent" or just "Bent"?

    Christ, I had never thought of that one!!!

    Bloody glad I did not get a 'Bent 10' replica shirt when I came back in April for the Blackburn game.....

    I saw the "D Bent" on his shirt ... after a while we came to the conclusion that he isn't as comfortable with his name and sexual persuassion as he should be

    Marcus just had "Bent" on his shirt on Saturday.

    I'm pretty sure Darren just had "Bent" before Marcus was signed.

    I reckon he always had "D Bent", but happy to be proved wrong ... I guess at Ipswich Marcus was there initially so he started off with "D Bent" on his shirt.

    ABSOLUTELY NO JOKE - The season before last (Darren's first) I had two lesbians sat in front of me in the lower north. One had a home shirt with "Bent 10" and one had the white away shirt with "Bent 10" :o)

    I am just pleased that Bent has started to look like a player on the pitch again instead of being known for his off the field "ball control". I hope he manages to stay injury free.
