Just can't see him coming good , if Cambridge or a top of L2 side want him on loan I'd be severely tempted to do it and get someone in that better fits how NJ wants to play
Terry Taylor played for the U21’s earlier this season, as has Edun. We are slated to play Birmingham City at U21 level today and I think Ahadme should play in the game.
Let's not forget just how bad this Charlton team are. Ahadme is just the latest scapegoat.
I don't know, not sure he qualifies for that. A player can't be a scapegoat if they aren't even playing, because the concept of a scapegoat relies on assigning blame to someone for a negative outcome. He's just being criticised for being poor.
Could see Gassan going on loan to a L2 club to rebuild his confidence.
If he scores a few whilst out on loan we could recoup £100k for him in the summer.
I think it’s about cutting our losses with this guy. Sadly just cannot see him coming good (headless chicken against Preston last week)
I’d be looking to loan him out to a team we think suits him. Ipswich increased his value by loaning him out well, we aren’t going to increase his value on what we paid but a good loan might help us recover some of that fee if he does alright and we sell him afterwards
I’d definitely rather keep Kanu for the second half of this season than keep Gassan.
I get that they are different players but even if Chuks gets injured, leaving Leaburn as the only striker with height, I would still rather bring on Kanu than Gas.
Young Dan Kanu did ok leading the line during the back half of last season & never lets us down.
Problem with loaning Gas out is that if Miles gets injured we don't have the big man up front that NJ likes. We are playing it on the the floor more which is good but in this league having a tall striker who can at least challenge the CB's is a must. I agree he hasn't shown he's good enough but Kanu/Godden can't fulfill that role and Chuks can't play more than 45 mins
No idea why we signed him - hard working but very limited. We haven't found his strengths....
I can see why we signed him, it's just not worked out so far. He showed a fair bit of potential at Burton when he was about 20, and then 13 goals in 33 games for a team that finished 18th in L1 last season was an indication that he could be good at this level, it's not a million miles off the numbers Lyle Taylor had before we signed him. I do wonder if the team had started well if he'd be playing with more confidence but right now he's a shadow of what he looked like last season at Cambridge. He's behind Leaburn and that's not a bad state of affairs for now but the question is whether he can be sorted out across the rest of this season to be useful or if it's over for him. Let's hope Jones figures it out or realistically we'll need to replace Chuks, Leaburn, possibly Godden and Ahadme next season

There is zero chance this man ever gets 6 figures spent on him again. He has been a colossal failure and doesn't even look close to being able to play a successful part in this team.
That's a really great point about potentially how many strikers we could need in the summer. If we don't bring anyone in in this window and we lose Leaburn,Aneke and potentially Ahadme in the summer that's a huge rebuild needed upfront. Would be fine with Godden and DK as a squad option but you'd be looking for a starting strike partnership.
Haven't seen enough of Casey, Dixon and Mbick this season to know if they'd be ready to step up as cover and probably too soon to mention Sol-Loza.

I heard the squad have stayed up north for Bolton after Saturday.
I think his future also depends on whether or not Jones is here next season. Not that I think Jones is likely to get the boot now, as I think he’ll do enough to keep his job. But if we go on another really poor run like we did post Birmingham (not inconceivable), and he does go, I struggle to see another manager wanting him/giving him a chance
Personally, he’s definitely one we should try and cut our losses on, but did I read somewhere he’s on a 4 yr contract?

Correct.
I am all for permanent contracts for stability and blending in, loans are not necessarily the answer.
We have gone from one extreme to the next with certain players. In this day and age I am sure players will put pen to paper for two years.
I can see Ahadme being a dud and we lose a lot of dough.

The guy seems popular with the players going by the reaction the few times he has scored but I just can’t see how anyone saw a footballer when scouting him. He constantly looks so far out of his depth can’t fault his effort but looks like someone who won a competition to play a game

The problem is that Ahadme isn't strong enough, or indeed that good in the air either. Opposition CBs are able to bully him, whereas when Chuks comes on it's the other way round.
Maybe he can bulk up a bit over the summer, but at the moment he's too weak.

But in this case we're QPR.
