    He thought it was tomorrow
  • Saving him for the final.
  • Dreadful signing.
£840K for a bloke who scored something like 9 open play goals last season in L1, most headers from 2 yards.
No link up play, poor touch, no pace, no strength and when he scored his goal v Southend he cupped his ear at our fans as though he had made a point by scoring v a non league team.
Hope he leaves asap this summer.
    Was it though?

Feels like it's over for him here after being left out today, assuming it wasn't due to injury.

I can't really get my head around what he showed at Cambridge outside of scoring a few with his head that convinced us to pay a fee for him and give him a long contract.
Hopefully Cambridge thought it was decent and want him back.

  • There must be something in his numbers that's promising as that's two upwardly mobile clubs (us and Ipswich) who have taken a punt on him, it just doesn't translate onto the pitch where he doesn't look up to it really

As I’ve said on here before, my cousin, who is a Cambridge fan, didn’t rate him much.

Jones said in his interview after the Wrexham game that Ahadme had picked up an injury. Doubt he’d have been on the bench anyway though

I heard they turned off the phones, eMail, Fax and lights, drew the blinds and hid behind their desks in case we tried to contact them to ask for our money back.

Ipswich’s scouting was just as bad as ours evidently , given the dross we’ve acquired from them over recent years .
What I’d give for Ipswich’s dross scouting over the last 3 years that’s lead to them climbing to the premier league.

They also profited on some of the dross by selling it to us

They'd have a cheek given we signed him off Ipswich.

Absolutely. But like our recruitment last summer, lots was great in their recruitment. We just signed a few of the duds.

And to be fair I still maintain Camara was a potentially excellent signing for both, he’s just been unlucky. He’s been brilliant for Crawley this season.

    So brilliant they got relegated….
  • Hopefully someone on here can knock up a YouTube compilation of all his best bits for us and you never know a championship or league one team will come in and take him off our hands.

I think I’d take relegated from the premier league this time in two years.
  • A "had me"

Just looked it up on the OED site.

Indeed, indeed.  But they’ve given us 5 duds, of which Fraser was the best, which says it all .  Admittedly they gave us Bent and Hreidarsson .

Who was involved in this signing? AS/NJ...? others
  • The big thing about brining Ahadme in, is the length of contract. Why was it not 9ne year for options on both sides to extend if applicable, for the club fitness and number of games available would have been one measure.
