Watching him I think he's going to benefit when the team as a whole is more cohesive going forward, does thankless running and wears CB's down for Chuks to come on and take advantage
Agree 💯. He was part of the reason their centre backs were battered by 60mins. Also don’t think he benefits from playing with TC, who imo lacks game intelligence (that will hopefully come with experience.Gass will be good I think.
Think he needs to hit the gym a bit. For his size he’s very slim and with that he’s actually able to push off the ball more than he ought to.
There’s something there, and he’s clearly going to work hard. However, right now I don’t think he has offered us anything that says to me he should start when everyone is fit. Loads of time yet, still very early days and he’s only only played with TC as a partner so far. Who actually despite his criticism, I thought TC had a much better game today than Ahadme. As said, long way to go and he’s only been here about 6 weeks or so.
The issue for me is that he's a £1 million target man, but hit the ball up to him, and it doesn't stick.
I don't think it requires much more analysis than that.
He was against Leyton Orient CBs today. Not sure what hope he'll have against Santos next week.
Compare to when Chuks came on. Suddenly those long balls were sticking.
If we'd got him on a free i'd say decent business, guy works hard and while he might not have a striker's instinct, he gets in defenders faces. But we've paid top dollar for this league and he just doesn't seem worth it.
On first viewing, he reminds me of Leaburn Senior. Good in the air, awkward, difficult to defend, but far from a prolific goal scorer. But still early days, and the regular forward line is, I believe, a work in progress.

From what NJ said earlier in the summer the problem is keeping him out of the gym rather than getting him in it
He and Campbell are both individually good and have useful attributes but not working particularly well as a pair. Think he'd look much more effective with Godden next to him, or even Leaburn - a traditional striker not a converted winger.
Chuks did well when he came on yes, but he came on to bully defenders who were already on the ropes and that's due to Ahadme.

No chance he needs to hit the gym, the bloke is naturally thin and athletic but he's strong enough as it is. What he needs is a strike partner that is able to read his game and play off him properly.
For all of TC's endeavour, he isn't a natural striker and he takes up odd positions where he's drifted wide (because that's what he's known) and then tried to correct himself and ended up in no-man's land where he's not wide enough to be an outlet but not close enough to Gassan.
Unfortunately I think he also needs refs to be bold enough to cut the constant digs and shoves he receives, early in the game.
I'm sure if he starts 80% of our games he'll get a dozen goals minimum, and his hold up play and knock downs will create another dozen for his teammates, and that for me is a decent return from the grafter in the team, the one creating space and tiring defenders
Think one thing we need to factor in his service is dog shit. What striker is gonna excel off 60 yard diagonals against seasoned league one brute centre halves?
The way we collectively see good on here for the absolute dog sh*t amazes me at times. The fella was like a little boy lost. Hardly touched the ball and never looked like getting in the game. He looks the type that will only ever suit one type of system. And it's always the system we never ever play. Why we keep shooting ourselves in the foot like this is beyond me. Wibble
Deffo improvement from last weeks abysmal shit by Ahadne but not amazing but who realistically can be with the attacking nothingness that we show , a work in progress

Didn't watch last week. But if this week is a step up..Good god!!

Watch the game .. Watch his movement without the ball , his work rate .. in both games he given 110% on closing down harassing defenders and winning flick ons .. without much reward he been excellent in both games …. unfortunately he had Campbell with him who does not read the game very well and dies not work as hard ..
I prefer to watch the style of Ahadme than the type of forward who just stands there and doesn't help the team out. He played a big part in tiring the Orient defence. He scored 11 in 29 league games last season, I'm sure once he gets settled the goals will come.
I’m not sold so far. His work rate is great, but just seems to lack that particular trait that makes him a standout player.
Someone mentioned Jayden Stockley above. For Stockley’s limitations in some areas, he was brilliant in the air. If he won a ball, then he was properly getting his head on it.
Even Campbell has that pace and a bit of trickery that gives you something to work with.
Ahadme seems to win about 25% of headers, and even then he isnt really getting much on it.
Not writing him off yet, as part of me hopes he can be a valuable squad player - but definitely not someone I’d see as a regular starter if we’re serious about promotion.
How many chances as he had in the two league games?
How many good crosses have gone in to him from open play and set pieces?
I don’t know how many chances he’s had in total, I did think yesterday he should have done better with a header he had right at the end of the first half, it’s at around 1 minute into this video:
There was also a moment in the second half where Small put a cross in to the front post, it was the right decision despite people getting frustrated. Ahadme made a run to the back post between two defenders, he was never, ever, going to get the ball.
It is little moments like that which tell me he’s not a natural goal scorer as a run in front and across the defenders to the front post would have meant a tap in. Not a criticism of him really, just it’s things like that where the top strikers in the league who score goals have that about them.
Early days but i think Ipswich have had our pants down. TC has been better than him in the opening two games and he has come in for a lot of (unfair) stick!
The issue for me is that he's a £1 million target man, but hit the ball up to him, and it doesn't stick.

Surely we didn’t pay £1M for him?
Thought it was about £300k up front rising to a mill. Pants down on the £300k so far but here's hoping.
He didn't seem to get the flight of the ball yesterday so was always a yard or two from where he should have been and therefore beaten in the air. Runs a lot, willing trier. Looks like a marathon runner.
It's one game, can't judge him in that and clearly has the work ethos to improve. I am sure he will but maybe more of a project.
As far back as I remember, there's always been one player that divides opinion. Most recently it's been centre backs, like Michael Hector and Naby Sarr but Kishishev and Leaburn were two good examples from years back.
I think Gassann Ahadme is odds on to join that list.
I think it's unfair to beat down Ahadme due to the transfer fee, especially as I don't believe anyone actually knows the true figure we have currently paid for him.

I remember Jason euell and Alfie may, probably lots in between all making slow starts!
