Normally with England I've mixed it up, had to watch a game at work, some at a pub, family etc. This time, I've watched every single game at my aunts with family, and I think I'll have to do the same again as a result.

I am quite superstitious, since the opening game for us, I have wore all black, haven't wore an England top once. I also now keep wearing the same black shirt and shorts as I have convinced myself it's a lucky charm. I have of course washed them.  ;)

Anyway, I hope everyone has a great time, it's great being surrounded by people, but it's also quite lovely watching England alone and soaking in the moment, so however you view it, enjoy it. I hope Sunday is special for all of us, and I can't wait for us to hopefully, finally, break this awful trophyless streak.

    Come on England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

People of working age want an extra day off, people in retirement don’t. Shocker!

I’m not going to Germany or an outdoor screening, I’ll be sitting at home. Why have the game on a Sunday night when nearly everyone has to be up the next morning?  3pm Sunday or Saturday night make much more sense.
    100% should be a 5pm Sunday KO

My guess is that they have worked longer than you ever will.
The ever increasing age of retirement would suggest otherwise…

Except that is not what that poll tells you. Every single age group would prefer there not to be a day off.

Just me, in Barbados on the yacht, with half a dozen bitches, unlimited tequila and blow...

Nah, up my daughter’s place with family.
Didn’t know dogs like football, booze, and Mary-Jane.

Was going to the pub to be amonst England fans, but my daghters have sudenly thrown themselves behind the cause, and neither are fans of watching the footie in pubs, so it'll be watching on TV at home.

Indoors, same as with watching boxing in the pub I get irrationally angry with people who haven't come out to watch the football but to be somewhere that's busy. I remember in the 2010 world cup not being able to get a seat in my local as some woman was sat there, not because she liked football or wanted to watch the game but because she was on the hunt for cock. Which is fine and anyones perogative but it annoys me. Same as people trying to start a conversation with me during the game, I'm just too easily annoyed by part timers.

Something I struggle with is the fans at box parks filing themselves celebrating, or seeing the goal go in.amd instead of remotely being present in a moment, stop, fish around for their phone, get it out, then video a disingenuous celebration, haven't seen it happen at the Valley yet but it is one of the oddest behaviours of our time. Right up there with the mullet and ugg boots

At home quite possibly on my 3rd step watching through the bannister as that was where I was for the offside and winning goals yesterday at the exact moment the ball hit the back of the net.

Given the significance @suzisausage it might be worth phoning yourself up tomorrow and putting a reservation on that 3rd step 🤞

Monday morning in NZ with a 7am kickoff. Heading in to work late I guess.
I'm happy to be a neutral. Couldn't handle the nerves I think.

Watching it down the yacht bexleyheath.

Good few charlton in there and a good atmosphere.

Previous euros done every game at Wembley aside form the one in Rome and 2016 done 3 games in France since then haven’t bothered with England away.

Rejoining travel club for 24-26 period to start getting points for euro 2028. Also planning on doing the group stage of USA 26 as I think a lot of people will be priced out and not bother.

Is that for when people get to the front of the bar queue and have a  heart palpitation at the cost of a pint?

    ;-)
  • Had a long planned big family gathering and BBQ for the afternoon leading up to the football.
Sadly plans scuppered as half our party now have an early Monday start for a non- blood relatives funeral in Cornwall.
So will be a subdued gathering at home round the TV, me and the wife and my daughter who is able to stay on for the game.

Friends over with their daughter for a BBQ in the afternoon, then watch it in the garden. The wives are not interested in the football, mine's heartbeat has just started to return to normal after I shit the life out of her by screaming when Watkins scored.

The daughters aren't that bothered either but enjoy laughing at us getting more and more animated as the beers start to go down and we try our hardest to not swear.

Let's face it, there will be a lot of ahem "working at home" on Monday if England win...

I won't be going out to watch the game, though it does bring back memories of the Euro 96 semi which I watched in a packed hotel bar in the outskirts of Liverpool, as a few of us were staying there for a work project. A great atmosphere during the game, depression and anger afterwards, not helped as being Wednesday evening it was the hotel's weekly Karaoke night, which started right after the football...

At home in the living room with Mrs P who is not a huge football fan, but watched the last final. She says she likes penalty shoot outs, clearly she is a freak.

Home - can’t stand watching England in pubs etc - Lady Flash will watch with me, albeit we had a minor conflab first half of semi final, as she was (after already being quite a few Pinos in) constantly talking and offering her opinion about how the match was going, and talking utter drivel - my request for her pipe down as she didn’t know what she was talking about didn’t go down well 😂

Why say she's a freak🤣 I thought everyone loved penalty shootouts!! Aren't they the most exciting thing of the game? Just think about our memorable penalty shootout with Sunderland in 1998! I wish I had experienced that. It surely is a once in a life time experience for every Charlton or Sunderland fan at the time and something one will never ever forget.
Believe you me, I was at Wembley 98 and I hated every moment of the penalty shootout !!!

    They’re great if you win!
Not if Nicky Bailey tries to start the South East London Space Programme though.
