Didn't a lot on here say in Apples we trust when he first came in0 -

Might give a few a kick up the arse which is no bad thing (Includes Management and Coaching Staff)
Get the bad performance out the way now and turn it around in the last pre season fixture next Saturday with a starting eleven that should be in for the Wigan game9 -

Our defence cannot keep a clean sheet
Our midfield is not creating opportunities and looks lightweight.
Our (new) forwards are not scoring goals.1 -
Perspective needed only few days ago we nearly beat Palace in an excellent performance.. but that game todays game and next weeks will
have no bearing at all when 17.30 comes along the week after … the players will switch on 100% and look a diff team ..get the niggles out the way now after all that’s what pre season for not about the results6 -
I (sort of) watched the first half..........Boring.
Decided my afternoon nap was more important, so didn't bother with the second half.1 -

I think that is a problem, don't you?
We've won 2, drawn 1 and lost 2. Take aside recency bias and its basically impossible to say which if any are more "realistic" omens of the season.
All that matters is Wigan. If we looks like this, it will be concerning. But it will be concerning because we look bad in a league game.
Just important we do it less often than everyone else.4 -
I'm not gonna claim I know a league position for us after this pre season and whilst it's not the doom and gloom some are making it out to be, it is concerning that neither Godden or Ahadme have even come close to scoring in pre season. I hope they're saving it up but a little concerned we are going to be dull as dishwater to watch next season.8

The biggest concern for me was that around 60mins our players fitness seemed to drop off a cliff. Wimbledon certainly didn't and looked fitter than us.0

Pretty obvious that NJ is not aware of his best eleven yet. He may have some idea but will need to carry on experimenting to see which players gel and make his mind about what he needs to bring in. This situation will probably continue in the first few League games and the players need time.6

No attacking identity, no pressing from the front.
Playing with wing backs and never getting them in possession of the ball in final third to create anything.
a back line that still has Gillesphey in and a midfield that got given the run around by division 2 team

I think that the biggest learning from today’s game is that we needed at least another 2 pre-season friendlies. We’ve definitely been light.1

I lost track of most subs because no numbers on X, but thought our midfield starters were pants. Berry had a few moments but they were all lightweight and brushed aside. Anderson is a must, and perhaps Zach or REG in holding role.
CBs passed it to a marked WB, but mainly just hoofed it long. Didnt notice ZM being culpable for 2nd, but seemed the only one looking to bring it out or pass forward.0 -

I think two posters commented on where we will finish both were clearly joking.
Negative comments when we play badly are not surprising. Even more so after the last few years.
I didn't watch or follow the game as I couldn't be bothered. Sounds disappointing but my overall expectations based on the squad before today were not as high as others.
I think we have a decent squad but need to add 3-4 top L1 players (in addition to a keeper) to really stand a chance in what will be a tough L1 this year.5 -

Calm down everybody. Just close your eyes to remember the fitness drills and videos from Slovenia.

Showmetheway2gohome said:Think we need to stick with jones now no sacking even if we’re bottom half at Christmas but think with the selling of May and a bad start we will probably sack him and start the groundhog again. Although I think it was a mistake to sell May. We need to let jones have a longer reign than the previous managers.Wasn’t expecting much today, pre-season friendlies are training sessions that we pay to observe. But damn…1
