have they said anything about them being available on the day?
You can collect them from the ground on the day when ordering through the club website
Any idea if you can purchase on the day though? My son will not know until late Saturday morning if he can go or not.
Ive got no idea mate sorry, just remembered seeing that as an option when I was buying our tickets through the website. Maybe try our ticket office number and ask them?
I can’t see that happening. It’ll cost way more to call them off and reschedule them with overtime etc.
😂 I mean if you literally don’t have the resources to deliver the event then cost goes out the window! There was a national lockdown a couple of years back because there were no hospital beds available. I think closing the entire country down was probably more costly then letting people go to work and get on with their lives, but….
I'd not be surprised if many games are called off this Saturday due to problems throughout the country. Police resources are stretched atm.
Far better to give as many of those that might otherwise go to scenes of public disorder something to do elsewhere and know where they are than call the games off.
reminds me of a notorious pub in Bristol in a notorious estate that used to regularly serve ‘afters’ in the days of the 11pm closing days. When a riot broke out in the city the police knocked on the door and told the landlord to keep the bar open all night and try and keep as many of his customers in there as possible.
Odd that the EFL are monitoring twitter feeds and pretty poor to contact his employer, not as if what he was posted was inflammatory, disrespectful, abusive etc.
The Massives managed to sell out The Jimmy Seed Stand when they had us first game of the season live at 5.30pm or was that because they wanted to see TS strumming himself off
Big ask but if anyone has train tickets and can no longer go. I could be up for taking them off your hands for what you paid. Just £100 is quite a bit at the moment to swallow for travel alone!
Given everything, and there’s been a few ‘things’, that could put fans off, that’s an impressive number that’s likely to be increased before kick off. Fans, particularly Charlton fans in the last couple of seasons, often travel in hope that their otherwise great day out isn’t spoilt by the football and result. I suspect that hope is going to get repaid this season, starting this Saturday
Yes I’m not criticising. Was more made in the context of relatively healthy away turnouts last year, first day of the season direct train thought we might exceed 1000

so many factors...
Live on TV, late kick off, holiday season, threat of cancellation, been there before (soulless ground with crap atmosphere).
Bar the hardened traveller, any one of these is a reasonable justification for not going.
More travelling now than we often took to old Division 1 games in the eighties...

Shame it’s one of the worst away days with a rubbish ko time on tv first up would have been nice to fill a normal away end
Wigan is one of the better away days in this league. The KO time is crap though.
