Not for all their financial irregularities, but for repeatedly not kicking off on time
Good job we're not in the Prem, as I dread to think how much we'd be getting fined.

They're going to struggle this season. Might have to have 10 less non playing youngsters on their books.1
-
And I said "less" on purpose so f*** off.5

you could have made your point in fewer posts.5

We'd be screwed0

"City have apologised for the breaches and have agreed to pay"
Is that how fines work then?4 -
It would have been fewer effective.SporadicAddick said:you could have made your point in fewer posts.
I'll get me coat.5 -
Most of the breaches seem to be time taken to "restart". I'm.assuming that means lengthy goal celebrations.
Instead of a £2m fine perhaps the PL should have said that Man City arent allowed to score more than 2 goals a game 😀.3 -
It’s all agreed between them and the Pl, let’s show that we’re happy to comply and you can give us warnings and suspended points deductions because we have proved we want to play ball, otherwise we’ll push the super league and everyone will follow our money.Stig said:"City have apologised for the breaches and have agreed to pay"

city won’t lose any titles or be relegated to the conference north despite all the charges

Length of delay to restart means they were late out for the start of the second half.golfaddick said:Most of the breaches seem to be time taken to "restart". I'm.assuming that means lengthy goal celebrations.

Any ideas what should be done with the £2,000,000…..needs to go to some lower league clubs for ground improvements perhaps……...just a suggestion.3

No doubt they've asked for time to pay !aliwibble said:Not for all their financial irregularities, but for repeatedly not kicking off on timeGood job we're not in the Prem, as I dread to think how much we'd be getting fined.0 -

I’m not sure they can find such small amounts.Lincsaddick said:the fine will be paid from the loose change jar0 -
Makes my blood boil that they have docked clubs like Everton and Notts Forest points instantly it seems and have done nothing about City.......its a joke2
-
A very popular misconception. It's not that they haven't done anything, it's simply the difference between 1 charge (that Everton/Forest admitted) versus 115 charges that City are denying. Very obviously the City case is going to take miles longer.ct_addick said:Makes my blood boil that they have docked clubs like Everton and Notts Forest points instantly it seems and have done nothing about City.......its a joke
As a (probably poor) example, it's the difference between going to court for admitting a speeding charge and going to court to face a murder charge that you are pleading not guilty to. Do you think one case would take longer than the other there?1 -
Had a chat with one of the directors today. Inbetween the transfer gossip (see the rumours thread) he said that Man City had been warned and had been doing it for ages and had kicked off 8 minutes late for the last game of the season.
We haven't had any warnings.0 -

Any idea what they hope to achieve by doing this…..I can’t for the life of me think why?Henry Irving said:Had a chat with one of the directors today. Do we have any other examples of this being done on an ongoing basis?0 -
the idea is surely that they can keep tabs on their earlier kicked off rivals and can try to adjust their tactics according to how other PL games are panning outSoundAsa£ said:

Odd watching other results when they seem to win 4-0 every week !Lincsaddick said:

Just let the opposition kick off while they are still in the dressing room.
I guarantee it’ll only happen the once.2 -
The delay is down to peps over long team talks1

£2m is nothing to them. On this occaision it should have been a 1 point deduction, suspended for two seasons and imposed if they repeat again.1
