Ramsay hasn't seemed in tune with everyone else today. Not reading things well, I think he could have got to that Coventry ball if he'd set off a bit quicker. Possibly would have helped to not have played him RCB for almost the entire preseason but plenty of time

Talk about one trick pony's. Punt it down the wings and hope one of the wing backs gets to it. Has Edwards crossed the halfway line yet?2 -

From the sky microphones the atmosphere sounds flat.1

And I thought the Community Shield game was dull...2

HT 0-0, tough match, with openings for both sides, we are creating chances, but still a little slow in support from Midfield in attacking mode, second half to come but ok so far, but could see changes second half...3

HT 0-01

If Edwards is this deep we need a lot more from Ramsay5

I thought we defended well, but midfield playing like they did against Wimbledon0

First half of the season. Completely comfortable on the whole and had one or two chances of our own to keep Wigan honest.
If this is our strategy for away games this season, we do need to be a bit more clinical when we do get chances at the other end.
Defense looks improved from last season but it does look on occasion like we're just playing 5 at the back rather than having wing backs.2 -

Need a creative spark in there1

I think, in summary, we were quite lucky to score nil in that half.1

Gutted I’d already had a sleep this afternoon as had to stay awake through this6

Dear Lord that was dire.5

Good news is our defence looks more solid. Other than that not much to report. We have been fairly cautious, especially down the left.3
-
So who’s going to be first in writing off this season?0
-
I’ll tell you what, Sam Tickle looks vulnerable to a light touch on him.7
-
The only good thing about that half was our kit. 👌
Probably would have taken 0-0 at half time mind.0 -
The biggest difference between this Charlton side from last season is that we look better organised.
Even when Wigan put us under pressure we kept our shape and never made any silly mistakes.
Long may it last9 -
Well based on that we will be hard to beat this year and few sides are going to outmuscle us. And we look much stronger defensively.
Against that we look toothless up front and the players will be knackered by Christmas given all the running and pressing they are doing.
Apart from that all is good!
