His role yet to be announced…???
I don’t care what his role is it shouldn’t be in media full stop
I agree, I was paraphrasing the article, as it seemed slightly concerning it could be in the capacity of a presenter? If he was going to be a pundit surely it would just say. My fear is as we speak he’s being put through screen tests for a presenting role.

MOTD with Eni Aluko and Wayne Rooney 😍
  • £800k for literally saying the obvious, "Yeah he should have scored that, they should have won the game" not a bad gig

He did a spot on Sky a couple of years back, summarising at half time and talking to Carragher and co for about an hour afterwards. I thought he came over pretty well TBH, seemed to give straight answers to questions, a skill not always on show in the media. Hopefully that won't be ironed out of him with too much media training. We'll see.

Don't think he'll be presenting, they've made a big splurge about Chappers, Kelly Cates and Gaby Logan sharing that role.

  • He does come across quite well.  Despite a limited education he does know football,  he can talk about it with confidence and experience.
He won’t get a big gig until he’s done this for a couple of years and proven himself.

i much prefer the guy who did the EFL stuff, Jobi McAnuff.  Erudite, intelligent and experienced.  Really smart guy.  He probably deserves a shot before someone like Rooney
  • McAnuff is becoming an EFL expert, much better for a longer career to make a name for himself there. Just look at David Prutton for example
  • He would be better off doing an Art show, like Bob Ross. “Colouring in with Wayne Rooney “ something along those.
