Bought myself a ticket, first away game in years for me! What's the easiest route there via train to Reading? (Heading from Staines)
I am in sunbury (surprise, surprise) - you can get a train direct to Reading from Staines.

Edit - beaten to it with better info
Probably should have worded it better as I meant to the ground not the train station ha, used to live in Reading many many years ago! Just never been to the Madejski before so a new world to me

Tickets for the trip to Reading are now off sale, though a limited number of tickets will be available to purchase (card only) from the Select Car Leasing Stadium on the day.

Anyone ever used the Mereoak Park and ride for Readings stadium?
  • Anyone travelling by train to Reading via Waterloo may hit problems, the line is currently blocked and delays expected till 1400

Luckily I'm already on the Liz line and will be in Reading at 10.15am. Come on you rip roaring, goal scoring addicks!!
  • Yeah I'm debating popping upto LHR to jump on the Liz line early instead and grabbing some food in Reading, first away game in yeaaaars and the buzz is definitely kicking in!

Wouldn’t it be quicker to just jump on the Bakerloo to Paddington anyway if you were going via Waterloo ?

I'm in Staines, won't be going anywhere near London
  • On a GWR train to Reading now. Seems like it is running fine, so don’t think the national rail information is correct.

Nah GWR are fine, it's SWR that has the issue as there's no trains between Reading & Wokingham till the end of the day due to some issue. Anyone travelling via Paddington's fine but us folk on the Waterloo line have to try another way. I'll take the stress if it means we get 3 points today!

No but will today. Driving to the game as the GWR service from Guildford must be the most unreliable shite service in the country.
