They are becoming a bit of a hate team for genuine fans of other clubs.

What has happened is not the fault of the fans of Wrexham, so I can't hold it against them. Don't understand why anyone would (other than envy). The BBC and other media fawning over them is a bit sickening, but that's a product of the times, anyone who gets airtime gains fans among the suggestable and the media greedy for hits and views panders to them.

You should see The Athletic. I’m surprised it hasn’t done a deal to be Wrexham’s “media partner”.

btw I was wondering, how many do you think they will bring to the Valley?

Absolutely this. They’re actually a really well run club, earning income really well to fund the goings on, they’ve made amazing investments in the city and community and are continuing to do so, they’ve made sensible astute signings, they’ve stuck by the same decent football manager for 3 seasons even though he’s not ‘glam’.

They don’t deserve any extra airtime on BBC Sport but I have nothing but admiration for what they’ve achieved and I don’t really understand why anyone could have other than the extra attention it has attracted.

Away end will sell out without a doubt. Quite of a lot of plastic Wrexham fans based in London (and yanks). I found it incredible when in Miami recently that Messi is everywhere (as expected) quite a few Man City and Utd shirts, but after that probably Wrexham as the fourth most represented club. Shirts were on sale everywhere that sold sports kits.

How come when we had a American Rock Legend in charge of us, we didn't get such media attention, I mean how could you not love "Addicks to Victory!"

BBC News is nothing but tabloid media. The Love Island couple splitting up made 2nd to top story on UK home page the other day, and they've gone for Hollywood United to fill up the football league pages.

Top 10 is by views, not how BBC ranks it

They'll easily sell out. Would expect them to sell out most games to be honest given this is their first season at this level for 20 years, they're a side on the up and selling out every home game as well. Also they haven't played us for over 40 years so it'll be a new ground for most.

They took 3,800 to Bolton last week for a Sunday game live on tv.

Wrexham to Bolton - 59 miles, 1 hour ten minutes

Wrexham to Charlton - 228 miles, 4 hours 28 minutes

    just saying

I hope they fill out the away end…more money in our coffers. What is more important is that we win.

They will sell out the away end easily !! I’m unfortunately local to Wrexham and have to put up with the hype regularly. Their  home game at the weekend obviously sold out and people were selling their tickets for £300 !!

    Hope we stuff ‘em…..
  • Yet Birmingham quietly slip under the radar, imagine if one of their major investors decides to take in a game whilst on business in London. Could be a hasty (except Wrexham) addition.

Jeez! What I wish for them most of all is to have a really bang-average lower-middle table season. Lets see how Hollywood bigs that up!

I’m in Portugal at the moment and there is a kid with a Yorkshire accent running around in a Wrexham kit.

£300 you say ... what price a couple of seats in the Alan Curbishley stand?  Asking for a friend.

We've got some internet fruit Mark Goldbridge bigging us up and woohoo great stuff (so palace)
Wrexham just have more famous fruits doing it
who cares we're dull as fuck and we're going up !!!
  • There will be plenty of London based people from N Wales so they will sell out the Jimmy Seed.
  • I I have been far more impressed with Charltons new owners regarding  team investment than anything Reynolds has done.
Hollywood glamour without the Hollywood signings. I for one wouldn’t want to swap owners. After years of uncertainty Charlton seem to have struck gold with this lot.
