    2.2 miles. Used to cycle as a kid as there were plenty of people who would look after your bike in their front gardens for about thruppence or maybe it was sixpence.

    Used to be less than 3miles, now about 14 but thanks to traffic can take almost 3-months each way for the journey…

    Malaysia to Charlton in 10 & half hours on foot! You need to be on the track at the next Olympics.

    The only County in Ireland where there is either no railway line nor, following the recent all-island rail review, any plans to build one (though I will be 6 feet under long before the railway line from Portadown to Derry is reinstated).

    About 60 miles, loved it when I lived in Well Hall Road....45 min walk.
    @HastingsRed I lived at 398 Well Hall Road from 1959 to 1987. Up by the welcome inn  .. we might know each other!

    1600 km direct Madrid to the valley.

    1724km driving all the way (17 hours)

    13 days 5 hour walk 

    21 hours via trains (pwopa Charlton route)

    2 hour + something flight and train


    Think I'll skip Huddersfield away...
