    1. 38'

Alex Gilliead (Shrewsbury Town) wins a free kick in the defensive half.

    2. Postat 38 minutes38'

Foul by Macaulay Gillesphey (Charlton Athletic).

  • Only upside is that this is probably the best the shrews have got, and they haven't scored.
  • Shrews looking sharper and hungrier. Winning the second ball nine times out of ten.

    Salop corner  40'
  • I dont think Berry has touched the ball in the last 20 mins
Agreed. Although in his defence the ball is mostly 30 feet above his head
  • Joining the match late.   Any idea why we're wearing the third kit, rather than the yellow away?
Maybe because Shrewsbury play in yellow and blue
Oh blimey.  I'm actually colourblind and didn't realise.    :|

Corner dealt with but now Shrews have a free-kick just outside the Addicks area and fairly central  40'

Red and white? Not even the sponsor justification.
  • Our pressing looks amateurish, not enough strength  so we push the opo with arms out, so easy for ref to give a foul
  • I dont think Berry has touched the ball in the last 20 mins
And gives away a dangerous free kick
  • Dangerous free kick this

It’s so depressing to watch us completely bypass our supposedly strong midfield with absolute hoofball and be bullied by a team that have been completely rolled by a number of teams already this season.
  • And an awful lot riding on Leaburn’s return and Dixon turning out to be any good. No creativity in this team what so ever.

I think that’s a pen, we’ve got away with one there.
Are we expecting anything from Dixon this season?
Dunno, but I’m assuming he’s been signed with the intention he’ll be an option.I hope we might see him on the bench at some point. All our subs are kind of like for like changes, we lack one or two players to bring in and doing something a bit different.
  • Just checking in on the score, as it’s interval time here at Starlight Express, not much a doing by the sounds of it, oh well choo choo.

I see him as an option, and someone to develop but to expect something from him is a strong word.

Ball sits up for Coventry about 30 yards from goal but he miscues his effort and it's well over  43'

Read the original comment. He wanted to know why we're not playing in yellow not red and white.
  • We can’t do anything from free kicks and corners, we can’t score when on top, and we can’t get a shot on target. All seem pretty basic and you’d think the manager and coaches would be able to sort it out.
  • One thing I will say, we’re kicking into the wind and think it’s a bit gusty - the ball has held up a bit a few times. Might help us second half once we can Chuks on.

Have a feeling that the best part of this match will be half time

I thought we had a dead ball specialist newly employed  :)

He did. And I’m asking why we’re not playing in red and white (I haven’t read the whole thread).
  • Gillesphey looking the weak link at the back today
