The Aston Villa and England forward has died according to unconfirmed reports

    We are not sure of this yet HI - David Speedie among others have said that reports of his passing may be inaccurate at this moment in time. He is still in critical condition after his fall though.

    Let's all hope that he makes a full recovery .. back in the 80s Gary Shaw's goals went a LONG way towards Villa winning the 1st Division title and (what was then ) the European Cup .. a terrific striker who somehow never got a full England cap

    Cracking player saw him score two wonderful goals against Wolves at the Holt End in about 1981 when i was ground hopping. Great foil for Peter Withe. RIP

    Looked slightly like Tom Cruise there. 

    Was a special player but injury stopped him from him making an impact internationally.

    Gosh, used to play snooker with him early 80's at private club in Solihull. Was a really nice guy and sad to hear of his passing.
