London Marathon 2025

edited September 2024 in Not Sports Related
I go to the wonderful CL well again.
My eldest, Robert, is running in April 2025 for his second tilt at the London Marathon - and for the same cause that he and his brother Danny have raised funds for in previous runs. A cause, as you will all know, that is very dear to Munro hearts.
Whatever support you can give will be greatly appreciated, and know that the money will be very well spent.

Thank you xx

  • Good luck Bob !. Had my place officially confirmed today, am running for Orchard Vale Trust, a very small charity for adults with learning difficulties and live in accommodation.

We usually start at the Rose of Denmark, then head off to Tooley Street, Canary Wharf and then across for the finish.
It's a great day out even if you don't have an interest in any runners - it displays all that is best in the human condition.

I'm also running it again next year. 2nd time doing it for Great Ormond Street. Good luck to your son, Bob and you too Shine.

I haven't kicked off my fundraising yet so I'll make a start on it!

  • Good luck to Robert Munro and all those running the marathon this weekend. We have a team at work running for the Salvation Army so am going to try and get down to the Cutty Sark.
  • Backed all four of you for a few quid. I'm envious of the day you'll have, it'll be right up there, good on you!

I am running the marathon, and one of the sector manager volunteers I work with.  They has suggested to avoid Cutty Sark as they believe it will be the busiest part of the route.  Cutty Sark DLR will be entry only, so you will need to walk over from Maze Hill or Greenwich (if not local already)
  • I’m doing it for CAFOD. My missus couldn’t even get out of the DLR station at Cutty Sark last year. She goes to mudchute which is a lot quieter.
