I think Parkinson should win it. I know they’ve got money but I don’t think anyone really expected Wrexham to be in the top 6 let alone top 2 this season

Can't speak for others, but I did and I very much doubt I was alone. Bridging the gap from L1 to Championship a much bigger ask than from L2 to L1.

My group of 5 that do pre-season predictions all had Wrexham finishing in top 6.
Dave Challinor not making the short list at least seems harsh, but the competition is fierce.
It's a bit of a pick em' for me.
Chris Davies has done exactly what was expected, but could still break the points record, and they are a good side.
Parkinson has done very well to have Wrexham in with a strong chance of autos. High player budget, but not the greatest squad in all honesty but kept them consistent.
Our Welsh wizards second half of the season turn around is impossible to ignore. If we were this team from match day one, we could genuinely be close to Birminghams tally imo.
Wellens has done superb with that Orient site. Lot of castaways/undesirables in that team and they've had some right results. Tiny budget as well compared to the above.
If Orient can make the play-offs I'd give it to Wellens no doubt, if they can't, would be Davies for me. Money can buy you titles, but you still need to find a way to make players work together, and they're one of the best league 1 teams I've seen over the last decade (how depressing of a comment)
People on here were quite dismissive of Wrexham back in July when Dobson signed for them. Certainly didn’t see many (any) people pegging them for top six.
I don't think Jones should win if only because as good as the 2nd half of season has been, the first half was pretty dire. Over the course of the entire season you'd have to argue the likes of Wellens have probably been OVERALL slightly more impressive.
Which is not to say Jones hasn't done a terrific job to actually turn things around but outside of Charlton bias I don't see him winning overall (sadly)

The poster was using an argument that Parkinson deserves manager of the season for exceeding expectations, but shouldn't the wider expectations of the football community be used as the measure of success in that regard rather than the expectations of a small number of Charlton fans posting on CL who gave their opinion?
What were the bookies forecasting at the beginning of the season for Wrexham? Those odds would reflect a broader view I expect.
Can’t stand Wrexham, but Parky deserves it for (probably) getting automatics with a squad with an average age of about 53 that includes dross like O’Connell, Lee & Steven Fletcher.

Supercomputer did to be fair. Then again if your going of this Jones should get it (taking relegation threatened Charlton into the playoffs, some achievement that)
I remember reading from Luton fans that it took Jones a few months to find the right formula with them in 17/18. Then it finally clicked at the end of Jan and they only lost 2 games for the rest of the season. Hopefully that’s a similar situation to us, and personally I’m glad we gave him time. We’re on good form, and with guys like Chuks and Ramsay coming back, there’s a genuine chance at top 6 imo.
Posted on the 5th of Jan. Ok we didn’t only lose 2 games… its been 3.

Whatever 'super' computer predicted that Birmingham would lose 12 games and finish second, someone needs to take a sledgehammer to it.
It's madness to say anyone didn't think Wrexham would be top 6, especially with their signings, a manager that did a decent job with a worse side for us than he has now (Powell took that side backwards from 5th to 14th was it? Before a full rebuild).

Him and Danny Hylton. Don't begrudge them but want them to get us promoted at least.
