  • Happy with how we line up if it is a 442 diamond. Like I proposed on the preview so not much for me to moan about.
  • Just a quick Q... Are we allowed to go "GOALLLLLLLLLL" if the U21s score during the First Team game?
I wouldn't recommend it. @ross1 would probably hunt you down for getting him unnecessarily excited.
  • If the diamond doesn’t work, Jones might switch it to a rhombus. That’ll fool Brum.
You know how I mocked you the other day when you said the Bristol Rovers game was one where all three results could happen? This game feels like payback
  • Do we always warm up until this late? Brum went back in at least 5 mins ago. Not that it matters massively just thought it was interesting
  • I think Anderson is RWB, jones - mitchell- Ramsay as a 3. Edward’s lwb

I probably would not believe it to be the first team, and it would be good to get excited at my age 😁

    god I hope you’re wrong
  • As the Charlton players leave the pitch after their warm up Chuks has been out there practising his headers at goal from wide crosses.

Thankfully he's been heading them all downwards towards goal so none hit the bar or went sailing over ... albeit with no-one challenging him.

Let's see how well he does during the game when he's got a couple of hairy-arsed centre-backs trying to hold him down like Lilliputians tying down Gulliver.

    Still no TT
Rather he was in there instead of Campbell after his last performance.
Bit harsh on Tyreece. I mean I know he's not a striker, but he's more of one than Taylor.
Just wait until the round of second half subs when we're pushing to get a winner.

Anderson will go off to be replaced by Tyreece leaving us with an AC/TC pairing at half-forward.

Will we be Thunderstruck or will it be Hell's Bells, It's A Long Way To The Top?
Could be worse, could be Stephen Humphrys and Ivan Toney

    Any reason why?

Would prefer it to Sky’s guess tbf.

  • It's not quite as bad as playing Tyreece at LWB, but it's not far off.
  • Who's the bunch of identically suited folks in the directors' box? Is it the Brum lot? Appalling
  • See... they're talking about Mitchell scoring on Tuesday and I'd completely forgotten!!

    Its their Cup Final ;)
  • I notice we turf out Mitchell a lot for these sort of things, do like his attitude and what he says, would be a decent Captain option imo

Birmingham team being read out at the ground.

Skipper Krystian Bielik got polite applause, the number 9 wasn't greeted quite so nicely.
Idiots. And I'm keeping my gob under control there.

Can't remember when I approached a league game so early in the season with such a feeling of utter dread. NJ has obviously thought about what's not worked, and tried to change things. And that's about all I can say. We will need to score at least twice to get anything ftom this. Do you see two goals in that team.

I'm glad May starts, to be honest. If he doesn't score NJ may just show us he knows something. But I am sure he will in which case he's teaching NJ a thing or two about people management and basic respect for fellow professionals.

  • Bartlett and Fish falling foul of the sprinklers.

Am I the only one who thinks they'd walk straight into our starting line up today if they'd brought shorts and boots as well as a shirt?

    The Brady Bunch?

    EDIT: Tom, not Karen.
  • Here's hoping for a reaction.. can't say I'm confident.

  • Players now coming out ...
  • As much as Brownie may grate to some of you, I still miss him when listening to the randos Sky have had doing our games.

Why does it have to be a 'diamond'? Why not just a 442?
Because our only two natural wingers in the team are Dixon and T.Campbell

Or you could use Edwards in front of Small
Edwards behind Small preferably then at least we'd have pace on the left.
  • I wouldn't out money on a prompt 3pm kick off today ...

I wonder if it takes so long because they have to literally try to push the Charlton players out the dressing room as they plead with the Manager saying: "Please boss.. Please dont send me out there"
