He wrote a number of excellent footie -biz books in the early 90s and was “in the room” when the FAPL was cooked up. He made a lot of sense then and with hindsight called so much right. Among other things he points out that the current structure is not really a “pyramid”, more like a tower block on dodgy foundations. He’d still regionalise the lower leagues, and I think he’s right. Essential listening IMO, especially those of you younger ones who wonder why I rant so much about the way the FAPL came into being.
