The way the league is this year, 2nd place is up for grabs. I don’t think we’ve shown so far that we are good enough to take it, but if we can get 3 good results this week against promotion candidates then we might be
The Birmingham win needs to be the start of something, rather than a good one off win17 -
Be very surprised if either Mitchell or Leaburn start. Think Berry will come back in with A Campbell dropping deeper next to Docherty. Hope we stick with the 442, probably with Godden and T Campbell starting up top.0

Wont be surprised if we go back to a 3-5-2, as the Birmingham formation was very much designed to suffocate their playmakers. Question how it would work against other opposition - Going back to a three man midfield with Docherty - Anderson - A.Campbell would be an "easy" way to deal with Coventry's absence, but would be concerned to see that, as none have the passing of Coventry.
it up to big Gas doesn’t appeal1 -
we don't have the wing backs to play 3 5 2 - our back 4 is very good however and we should base our team on that for the foreseeable3
-
Expect TC & Godden up front, possibly a chance Dixon makes the bench if NJ wants 3 strikers on the bench but notable that Pat Casey didn’t play for the U21s earlier in the week.
Think playing Z Mitchell would be very interesting as then we can naturally change between formations without any subs.
The key to stopping Stockport is stopping Barry, he’s a great player for this level1 -
Stockport with one of the better defences and Charlton with one of the poorer attacks. What could possibly go wrong.3

What worries me a bit is that Stockport may not go out trying to beat us in the same way Birmingham did. I am not convinced we have cracked this approach.2

No worries. I'm wearing my lucky blue stripe socks that I wore against Brum. 1 - 0 to the Addicks!0

Think we'll be back to 352 and a grind out a win, but would like to see Forevers predicted line up with Taylor in for Mitchell though.
2-0 win either way, but formation and personnel will decide whether it's a clunky bore fest or a more polished performance.
Godden + A. Campbell goal scorers.0 -

It's got a hint of 0-0 but as always we turn up full of hope.
Would love Godden to grab one, however messy.0 -

Have to build on Birmingham, have to win your home games. I'd be disappointed with a draw3

When Aneke and TC are held back to be late substitutes they always seem to make an impact.1

1-1 Tupac with our goal.0

Honestly I have no clue on this result hopefully we have the confidence to build on the Birmingham result but this is us so half expecting a drab performance0
-
Hope it's not misplaced but feeling confident. I'd go with the previewers starting line up and think Mitchell will get the nod if we go 4-4-2. Think Miles will start.0

First time going to the valley since I’ve moved to Manchester and I’m running late. Is tube from Euston to Bridge and then overground to Charlton the quickest way? Google isn’t working on the train and the trainline app is telling me to travel via Outer Mongolia, so any help appreciated.0

I can't make it today as annoyingly missus has booked my boys birthday party at 4pm today.
Therefore guarantees a huge win and a performance that will go down in Charlton folklore before I return to witness us grind out dull nil nil v Wrexham.1 -
2-1 win. Think we will come back from being 1-0 down. Not expecting it to be a high quality game, but will just be two sides trying to force the other teams into mistakes.0
-
they have done well since their release from the NL dungeon .. should be a win for us .. keep the 4 4 2/4 2 2 2 Nathan, we need to establish a set pattern of play and keep to it0

maybe it's time to see if Chuks can start a game, if so then the possibility of three up front is still there. Back four and goalkeeper should be the same but the midfield will probably be the water carriers, Anderson, Docherty and Allan Campbell, like most I would like to see Taylor get a start, don't think it will happen though and if he doesn't make the bench then his Charlton career is all but over. Stockport are not prolific scorers and neither are we, it's a frustrating draw for me.
