Wrexham Day presents and breakfast

Hope everyone managed to get at least a wink of sleep last night... I know I struggled with the buzz of excitement and anticipation! What do you all get for presents and what are you having for Wrexham day breakfast?

Merry Wrexham day all x

    Already on the Bucks Fizz!
  • Scrambled egg and salmon. It’s become a bit of a tradition for big games.

I think this day will live long in the memory and in years to come, like Wembley 1998, Wembley 2019, Huddersfield 7-6 and Yeovil away in the rain, we will be able to say “were you there?”.

And the answer from tens of thousand will be “yes”.

A bit like 5th December being “Back to The Valley” day, I will always regard 26th October as a very special day.

Missus has put some film on (Deadpool it’s called - not a horror but kids and weird adults love it apparently).

Load of people coming around later - don’t really know them that well, and probably won’t see them again for another year.

I chose to drive over the border to check it out and these were the scenes at 7.00am of crowds queuing up to board the coaches.

Early morning run before the festivities and then a hearty breakfast. Present wise, opened a new bottle of Daddies sauce.

Expecting a disappointing turkey of an afternoon

Im in Spain and have just arrived at the local cafe for a slap up meal before going to the supermarket to stock up with booze for Wrexham Day. Zulu is not on the telly so I’ll probably watch Real v Barca tonight. No doubt I’ll sleep through it 🎅🏿

I've always preferred the day after Wrexham day where we use the left over mutton and whack it in a curry.

Ah, Deadpool is a film is it? Said I'd never heard of it yesterday and I got was abuse from some random from Bedfordshire of all places. Thanks for enlightening me, I'll go back under my rock now.

Haven't you got mutton and curry the wrong way around?

It had been a regular Saturday morning for me. Got up, had my usual 6 cans of warm stella and the remainder of last nights kebab. Made the kids breakfast then we watched 2 episodes of welcome to Wrexham.  Then the kids surprised me with a present - a half and half scarf. I cut it in half  used the Charlton half to wipe my bum after a very watery poo - during the poo I read Allan Campbell’s Wikipedia page with pride.  The Wrexham half is currently on display in the rear window of my car, alongside a deadpool bobble head.

Going to drive over to the game soon, hopefully there will be a lot of traffic so I can finish the other 6 cans of warm stella that I have.

Can’t wait for the game, probably the biggest game of my Charlton supporting life. I would hate it if Charlton spoiled the party and won, so hoping we have a couple of players sent off early and George Dobson bags a couple of goals.

I bringing along my Ryan Reynolds photo album in the hope I can get him to sign in after the game. If that doesn’t happen, I’ll probably go to the next Forest Green Rovers home game and ask Ryan Inniss to dress up as deadpool and get him to sign it. Hopefully he will get sent off after 10 mins so I don’t have to hang around too long.

I’ve been getting stick because I’ve been listening to my Wrexham music since September. Can’t believe the big day is finally here!
    Happy Wrexham Day!

Biggest day in our history, and all you lot can do is take the piss.

I'm just happy I lived long enough to see plucky little Charlton, my team, share a pitch with these titans of football.

My Wrexham day playlist has been on repeat for two days now

i was worried about Wrexham day fatigue, what with the shops stocking half and half scarves earlier every season.

Even our Rugby neighbours have joined in with red white and green bunting everywhere, even though they follow a different religion

If you say so, I wouldn't know, never seen a film or TV programme with Wolverine in it. And for what it's worth I've never seen a film with Ryan Do-Dah or Rob Wotsit in it nor could I name a film they have been in (except Deadpool of course which I have only today been told features at least one of them).
