    Z.MITCHELL: 6 - did ok but was left exposed, with Southend overloading his side and got scant support from his colleagues

    EDWARDS: 6 - a nice cross for the first goal. Alright defensively but yet to hit the heights of his early season form
    COVENTRY: 5 - part of a midfield that was largely outplayed by a National League side 
    TAYLOR: 6 - his set plays are a big asset, especially for a side so lacking in creativity 
    A.CAMPBELL: 4 - a poor player who offers little and seems to run out of steam
    BERRY: 4 - a pretty dismal, lightweight performance. So easily brushed off the ball
    LEABURN: 8: MoTM - we would have not have taken this game to extra time without his input. He was clearly struggling for some time before he was eventually taken off and I’m surprised that Jones didn’t act sooner.
    GODDEN: 5 - got his goal but that miss looked awful
    SMALL: 6.5 - injected a bit of pace and desire. A player who actually wanted to go at the opposition, rather than passing sideways or backwards
    HYLTON: 5 - not on long enough to make any impression, although managed his customary foul
    DOCHERTY: 5 - didn’t notice him
    ANDERSON: 5.5 - at least closed the opposition down
    Referee: 5 - I thought the penalty decision was wrong. Ok otherwise

    MANNION:   6 - Safe handling with crosses, couple of deflected goals not his fault.
    Z.MITCHELL:   6 - Nice goal, but was targeted by their attack and looked a little overawed at times.
    A.MITCHELL:   6 - Didn't kick Bonne enough!
    GILLESPHEY:   5.5 - Hoofs it far too much and makes our play so unattractive.
    EDWARDS:   5.5 - Apart from the cross for the 1st goal, I thought he looked a bit unsure of himself.
    COVENTRY:   5 - In games like this, I struggle to see what he offers.
    TAYLOR:   6 - A welcome inclusion given his set piece abilities.
    A.CAMPBELL:   4 - Not good enough. This old pals club has to stop now.
    BERRY:   5 - Rarely featured as the play from the back bypassed the midfield.
    LEABURN:   7 - Brilliant header and his all round play was good.
    GODDEN:   6.5 - Ran his heart out and got clattered by their keeper on a couple of occasions. Should've scored before their penalty.
    SMALL:   6.5 - Looked decent running at their non-league defenders. Final ball still needs work.
    HYLTON:   5.5 - Surprised he came on before Gass and he provided nothing. Another old pals act that needs to stop.
    DOCHERTY:   5 - When you're used to midfield leaders like Kinsella, Holland & Dobson, this fella is so disappointing.
    ANDERSON:   5 - Don't recall him doing much.
    Referee: 4 - Weird signal for the penalty, pointed the other way first and I thought he gave us a free kick! Failed to give a penalty when their keeper took out Godden. Wrexham got one last week for much less!

    Ahadme: n/a - Lovely finish. Fingers crossed that was the boost he needed to kick-start his Charlton goal scoring career.
