2024-25 CL Prediction League Week 11 Results

Week 11 was the toughest week of the season by a mile, with an average score of 1.26. A certain result at the Thames Estuary did a lot of damage, as did a Sunday victory for our neighbours up the road. And before there are howls of protest, although Charlton won 4-3, it's the score at the end of normal time that counts. There weren't many correct scores this week unless drab Midlands derbies take your fancy. Who can be bothered to predict Stoke v Derby even if it was obviously going to be a 2-1 home win? One or two surfaced about the rest, though. Notably, @Starinnaddick with an impressive 6 points, while @charscot bagged a very presentable 5 points. At the top of the Premier, @Viewfinder did enough to inch ahead of @timken thanks to this season's reverse alphabetical order sorting. The Noughty Step was busy, with 7 competitors making their first appearance of the season there, while 12 have still avoided the shame of the Noughty Step. Finally, a mention for @Paddy Powell who is one week away from going 10 consecutive weeks scoring 2+ - no pressure, then.

    Thought I'd got 4 points but nope another 1 point must be one of the most consistent 1 pointers - Must be using the NJ formula!! Fingers crossed to stay off the Noughty Step next week.

    You make a good point. Your best bet is to lodge an appeal with the Prediction League Management Committee. You do this by transferring the £100 appeal fee to us. A few of us then go down the pub, chew it over and let you know the outcome (if we remember).

    .......erm, no, because my sole, correct prediction of a draw was actually based on a premonition that we would concede 2 own goals. ;)

    If it's like the FA, I'd probably get deducted a point for a frivolous appeal...
