Trevor Sorbie RIP

edited November 8 in Not Sports Related
Icon of British hairdressing and, by all accounts, a nice bloke.

RIP

  • RIP... Never heard of him and as someone follicle challenged wasn't likely to be. But any death is sad.
  • Thought he was relatively well known? Was always on the TV years ago..

  • Mrs JB is devastated.  She had her hair done by him countless times when she was younger!  RIP Trevor and thanks for making my wife happy!
  • Stephen Way died a couple of months ago too. 💔
  • Always sad when someone passes away but some of these RIP threads are becoming a bit silly now.

It makes you think of the fragility of life.

    Hair today, gone tomorrow.
    👍
  • Another stylist bites the dust!

So, because you've personally never heard of someone, it's a bit silly and you thought you'd not only open the thread, but spend time to say do?

Genuinely thought he was a bit of an icon mate and he was on the telly quite a bit though the 90's. Same as JohnBoy says, my Mrs was pretty upset n all, having met him a few times through being a hair stylist herself.

    .
  • He invented the ‘wedge’ hairdo.
There are definitely going to be a few on here that had one of those.
I know I always wanted one but my hair had other ideas.

    RIP Trevor

  • Never heard of him…..a respectable RIP but I have to say calling him an icon worthy of the title is stretching things wouldn’t you say.

Thank God I now have someone to blame for my singular failure with women during the 80's...  Now only the 90's and 00's to explain away!
