Academy starlet Kai Enslin will become the 1,001st player to represent the club since Charlton became a league club in 1921.
The 19-year-old starts tonight's Bristol Street Motors Trophy tie against Bromley, as Nathan Jones makes five changes.
The nature of the team Jones has selected means they could line-up in a number of formations.Â
Ashley Maynard-Brewer starts again in goal with Nathan Asiimwe, Rarmani Edmonds-Green, Zach Mitchell, Macaulay Gillesphey and Josh Edwards a potential back five.
Enslin may be joined in midfield by skipper Conor Coventry, Terry Taylor and Luke Berry, with Gassan Ahadme leading the line.
Tommy Reid, Josh Laqeretabua, Greg Docherty, Allan Campbell, Miles Leaburn, Danny Hylton and Henry Rylah make up the substitutes bench.

Terry and Greg for me.
The Chelsea game was quite entertaining. No idea if this will be.Â
Hope to see some of the youth stake a claim
Who will win... Who will advance to the second round... Who will get hacked by Danny "Bites Ya Legs" Hylton first...
Taylor almost seems entirely undroppable at the moment - Gone from the cold, to not even being rested in these games
Enslin becomes V1001; Reid can still be V1002
Wasnt Enslin one who missed a decisive penalty in a U18 Play-Off Final against Sheff Utd a few years ago? - Has come a long way since then if so!!
