Longest current tenure in League One

If and when Burton and Shrewsbury go down this season, it's Lincoln. By one season. From us.

If Lincoln go up...

  • A way to go before we match Bournemouth's 40 consecutive 3rd tier seasons at least, although I'd not bet against us right now

If this comment is genuine (and not meant to troll a Charlton forum) then yes from 1923 to 1970.

  • you’ll never sing that
  • The only problem with that Bournemouth statistic is that most of that time was in Division 3 South, a regional league, and 12 of those seasons they finished in the bottom half, the equivalent of Division 4 (League 2) today.

North and South were two divisions but of course they were only allowed to play in one of them.
It’s more accurate to say that they had 41 consecutive seasons in the bottom two divisions. Palarse, by the way, had 33, and Millwall had 18.

    No it’s the Third tier
cos on your premise Charlton have finished in the 4th tier
In our first 6 seasons of league football we finished in The bottom half of division 3 south
