Fans Forum notes- November 24

Charlton Athletic club representatives recently met with fan representatives at The Valley for the inaugral Supporter Forum meeting.

As part of the club's new Fan Engagement structure, launched at the end of September, the bi-annual Supporter Forum allows fan representatives to feedback on operational opportunities for improvement and development.

Full meeting notes can be found by clicking here.

  • Bi-annual, what a commitment by the Club.

They did discuss toilets in the AC stand but sadly they seemed to have not mentioned the broken lock. I believe Sandgaard's view was that you need to sing Addicks to Victory whilst in there so alerting others of its occupancy. Not sure what these Yanks expect you to do though 😄.

  • Don't think the wifi thing can be fixed really. I've never been to a sporting event, gig or any other big event where the wifi has actually held out
  • I see they discussed the awful Wi-fi issue. Another reason why I'm not going anymore as I am effectively cut off from the rest of the world between 3pm & 5pm. At least watching Soccer Saturday I can see how far we are falling down the table as the minutes slip by.

I did see it raised that could HT scores  be shown on the big screen. I did mention this to me son 2 weeks ago (who does the music & helps with the big screen on matchdays) and he said he didnt think that they would have time.

You might get arrested for that though especially if you should stray into the away end. Gone are the times when you could safely race to the away end following the toss and then amble back to the home end at half time.
  • Not bothered about hot water in the Curbs stand sinks. A nice to have, but hardly essential with the cost involved, as per the reply.

Better hand dryers are more important. And a full set of working turnstiles.

Yep, normally sit a few rows behind Golfie, when he goes, and I never have trouble.

Of course if they invested more in the squad no one would need WiFi to distract themselves.

Why would anybody go to a football match and want a dump? There’s enough shit going on on the pitch🥸?

Perhaps they could have a board on both sides of the ground with A, B ,C, D etc etc with those letters corresponding to a list of matches in the programme and then a man could walk round during or even just after half time and slot the scores into the spaces next to those letters. It's really about time the club moved with the times by implementing forward thinking innovations such as this.

    One for the oldies! Thanks!!

I don’t think anyone WANTS to have a dump at the ground, more needs to have a dump.

"HA said an individual couldn’t get through to the club to give the club some money from a commercial perspective. TR said a new starter was beginning in the commercial team in the next week, with a prime focus on the administration side and answering the phone will be part of his responsibilities."   :D

Is nobody else allowed to answer the phone ?

When Sandgaard moved the NHS call centre in he moved all Charltons telephones out and refused to tell anyone where he’d hidden them.
Legend has it, if you play his hit pop record “Clean Shit Win, clean shit win” backwards their destination is revealed but the muddy funster also hid The Valleys only record player too.
The place is in turmoil I tell you…
