“We just didn’t do the basics ! Things just aren’t going our way ! Stick with us the tide will turn” when will that be Nathan ? When our opposition forget that all we do is lob aimless pointless balls forward ? You are killing this team with your boring negative tactics ! Literally everyone but you can see what’s needed but you won’t do anything until the 70th minute when it’s too late ! Just fuck off
We literally have no right side of midfield What the actual fuck is this formation??!
4-4-2 diamond, same as Bowyer used. The width should come from movement, whether that’s FBs pushing up or midfielders/strikers drifting wide. We play little football under Jones though so no surprise it’s not working.
Exactly They look lost and nobody is pulling wide or moving as we knock long ball after long ball diagonally
At least we have three players on the bench who can add pace in Kanu, TC and Small.
Jones has moved away from 3-5-2 which is a start by giving us an extra midfielder, but he still needs to get us playing more football and add more pace to the team.
I don't know how many more times I am going to write this, but here we go again. What is the game plan? What are the tactics? How are we setup to win this game?
This is total and utter shit. Appalling anti-football with zero end product.
Yet again the midfield is being outfought when they have a numeric advantage. Another long range strike where the midfield have let the bloke run off them and the last defender has made absolutely no effort to stop the shot. No movement from the front players and Leaburn is clearly not fit - no doubt Ahadme will get dogs abuse and potentially hooked at HT l, but he has at least shown for the ball.
It is utterly unacceptable that the manager is sending out a team with these tactics and just rinsing and repeating.
I've lost count of the amount of times this season that the half time whistle has gone and my first thought has been "that is possibly the worst 45 minutes of football I have ever seen from a Charlton team".
Just so below average for league 1. On that performance a poor league 2 side. Why can our midfield beat take the ball down and beat their marker. Why is most of our heading straight up and hope. Ahadame does know we play in red. Leaburn has no pace orshot.
Garbage first half performance. No pace up front, but no width either, so we look toothless, and just hoofing it.
If you have 2 big men up front, you need width and crosses from wide positions , but instead we have a solid LB and a non attacking RB. Why not give Asiimwe a go, as he at least he likes to get forward. And play Small who's more attacking than Edwards.
Alternatively, if you play with a narrow midfield, you need pace up front. Kanu alongside one of the big men would give the Crawley team more problems.
Well this has been a turgid start. Goal aside Crawley have offered nothing in attack but are defending well. We need to step up second half. Need some width and not be stepping on each other's toes.
Don't worry we have Enslin and Dixon pulling up trees in the 21's, but then we have Nathan and they still will be playing at the same level whilst the hoof ball manager is at the club, losing our must win games, f**king sort it out NJ!

Why is Ahadme getting singled out? He made one shit pass but winning his headers and at least putting himself about.
So we're playing 2 target men with no wingers to cross the ball in. At this level, you have to form your tactics around the players strengths not try to mould them to your tactics. I don't understand his obsession with wing backs. They're like hens teeth at this level and any good one's get snapped up. Boo, bollocks and nobcheese.
You can see why Anderson starts, Taylor and Coventry are the same player, Campbell looks the better of the three because he gets about the pitch, and that midfield three is creating nothing for our forwards, we have had a lot of the ball but done little with it.

Clueless tonight.
And when he does get on the ball, turns backwards and slows it down until he's caught in possession.
It's not only Leaburn. The lack of width and balance in this lineup is gobsmacking.

I saw Shane Westley play for us...............
Take off REG and Gillespie, bring on Small and Jones.
Mitchell, Jones, Edwards in the back line

Probably hasn't seen us before.
This is becoming a must win game.
Orient winning 3-0 means if we lost tonight we could be just 4 points off relegation.

No points
No hope.
its all just a long ball lumped up the middle
we need to make changes and get some width and crosses into the box
