It was a candidate for my Top 10 ever shit performances. A total lack of cohesion. Add in letting in a goal straight from a throw on, the daft formation, the complete lack of nous and taking into account the opposition, it's definitely a candidate.
Trouble is the dreadful results just keep coming, as fans we are well and truly caught in a trap , and can't get out.
It's not even the result which is the memory from tonight, it's how dreadful we were, how clueless we were. Against L1 minnows.
Sometimes you are unlucky to lose, sometimes you can put it down to playing a very good team, sometimes you can put it down to an individual error, but we were outplayed in the league by Crawley tonight at home.
Hate to be right but when I saw the squad at the start of the season I knew we were going nowhere so performances like this one is no surprise. Player recruitment has been dreadful much like our manger recruitment.
I don’t know if the players have had their Christmas party yet?
But on last nights performance, if they haven’t, they should cancel it, and give the money they would have spent on it to charity.
Last night was a reminder of how players can take their living for granted, get them doing a shift in a foodbank for a day, and make them realise how bloody lucky they are.
I didn’t come on here last night as my thoughts on the game would have got me banned. Just say it was utter garbage, thinking about it I been watching Charlton for over 65 years on and off, it had to be one of the worse games I ever seen, for the first time I was bored stiff , there was no plan, there was only a big hoof. Where the free flowing football, the passing, the pressing, the tacking, oh blow I’m still to frustrated to write coherently.

I was at the match CK and it was absolutely shocking, what a difference from 5 weeks ago, 25,000 people in the stadium, a buzzing atmosphere.
We should have played a newly promoted team off the park, shown them who is boss, and discarded them with ease, Robbie Elliott couldn’t believe his luck at how easy we were to play against, we made them look like Real Madrid, I could see the smiles on his face as the match was going on.
They were knocking the ball around for fun, there was so much space alll around the pitch, it was like our players were trying to get away from the action!
We were absolutely clueless, and had no leaders on the pitch.
My son and missus, picked up on the fact that when, Godden? Came off, no body wanted the armband, which says it all, where were the people busting their balls, to make sure we came off that pitch with 3 points?
I stayed to watch the players and Nathan come off the pitch, not brocade I wanted to boo (and generally I don’t because it’s not good for my health, I get to worked up.
But to see the crowds response, and all though there wasn’t many there, the north stand came across as quite vociferous and damning of what they had seen, and I can’t blame them to be honest, but we need to get this out of our system pretty quickly.
My son told me a stat (he might have heard it on Charlton Live?) that of the last 56 league matches played in December, we’d only won 9 of them, so a 20% success rate.
Until that changes,we are going no where, again…
Oh and by the way 14th of December, we are at home against Mansfield, who I think are much better than Crawley, take that one lightly and we’ll be on the end of a whooping.

I’m not sure you are right. The squad is pretty bad, but performances as bad as last night are still a surprise.
Unfortunately I was at the game as well, and going again on Saturday, what an idiot’s we must be, I agree with everything you say Mendonca in Asda, to think when I started watching we had a players like Firmani playing on what was it a couple of £’s a game, now we get that cod’s wallop dished up and they are on £100,000’s / year absolutely ridiculous, they hopefully are ashamed of the performance. But no doubt will cheer up when they look at their bank balance.

Tonight was on par with that performance. We were lucky to a Burton side who were woeful
We made Crawley look like a top 6 team
