The museum were very sad to learn of the death, at the age of 71, of former Addick Tony Young.

 A midfielder, Tony joined from Manchester Utd and played 23 times for #cafc in 1975/76 and '76/77, scoring once, before moving back up north to play for York City.

I remember him as a versatile player who could play right back as well as well as midfield. I liked him in my early days supporting the Addicks. Iirc he only left because he  didnt settle in London and wanted to move back up north and York were managed by Wilf McGuinness his ex coach at United.

RIP, remember him well. It wasn't often that we signed a player from Man Utd and as a kid back then, he stuck out as having a touch of class.
