The club and Charlton Athletic Supporters' Trust (CAST) will be hosting the annual pre-Christmas Greenwich Foodbank collection ahead of Saturday's fixture against Mansfield Town.

All non-perishable items and toiletries will be gratefully received, but the following items are urgently needed by Greenwich Foodbank:

Long life juice
Powdered milk
Tinned potatoes
Indomie instant noodles
Instant mash
Hot chocolate
Biscuits and chocolate
Sponge puddings
Toiletries

Will be lucky to get a tin of beans as I doubt many people will turn up to watch the usual dross .

Saddens me a little how un-wholeheartedly we seem to embrace this annually. We should be leaders in things like this.

Last year we received nearly 218Kg of food and just under £1K In monetary donations. That’s a good effort and much appreciated by the Food Bank. Can we beat it this year?
