Would be interested to know other people's thoughts that attended today.
Last years was great and I was looking forward to it again this year but I thought it was terrible.
It seemed to me as if this year it had been let 'open to the local' community as 3/4 of the people there looked to me as if they had never been to a game of football before in their lives, let alone actually supported Charlton.
Such a letdown after we had such a good time last year.

Serious question - what do "people there looked to me as if they had never been to a game of football before in their lives" look like ?2

There were certainly a lot of non Charlton supporting families there whose kids were not Junior Reds as I spoke to a few.
I arrived about 15 mins after it started as had gone to the club shop. By the time we got there all the food and drink had gone, there was no real entertainment and all the seats were taken.
So my two stood around pretty bored until they got the players signatures, got a gift bag and left.
I thought it was pretty poor and a long way from last year's one. The gift bag was excellent to be fair though.1 -
Sounds more like a food bank.3

Probably another bright idea thought up by Charlie and the gang to get some people interested in the club0

The players were all great with the kids and a special shout out to Alex Mitchell, Josh Edwards and Thierry Small who were all awesome and asked my kids questions and really engaged with them.
Ed. Also Ramsey, Watson and Z Mitchell not there, but Aneke was. Made me think he must be back from injury but I am probably wrong and didn't ask.5 -

I remember a couple of years ago coming to the Valley on the bus.
I got talking to a mum and son , for some reason they has chosen Charlton for him to see his 1st football game.
Upon getting off the bus I bought and gave the son a match program.
All the teams they could of gone to, they chose Charlton.5 -
Don’t you have to pay membership to be a Junior Red? And is the Xmas party one of the perks of that?3

Probably was going to be lowly attended so as usual , like first team matches , we give a load of freebies away2

I was there with my boys and they all enjoyed it.
The club hadn't thought out the amount of food that was required but did their best with what they had and did pop out to get some more.
I couldn't make last year's one, but I was sat with someone who isn't a fan but always attends the junior addick events with their kid and they said it was better this year than last. I also know of a few non supporters who attended but they did have to pay to attend. They got emails inviting them due to going to the various fun days etc but they weren't freebies.
The gift bags were decent but I did notice a few families taking more bags than they had kids which I thought was a piss take.
The players were all good and had time for the kids. A few of them were engaging with fans as they were leaving their signing duties and were starting 'snow ball' fights with some of the kids. Lloyd Jones took time to take some photos with my boys on the way out too.
Kids had a great time so that's all that matters to me.11 -
They let children attend a Xmas party? Not just any kids, but local kids, too.
The horror.3 -

In addition to the Junior Addicks in attendance, we also invited several kids from our School's Partnership Scheme down for their first taste of Charlton Athletic!
