Very happy to be 2-0 up, but Christ the quality of football in this league is really dire at times6

Using his body really well too, Morrison might be old but he’s still got physicality so Miles doing very wellMarcusH26 said:Must admit Leaburn is looking a lot more like pre injury Miles today. Causing an experienced pair of CBs in Morrison and Ibsen Rossi a lot of problems.3 -
Poor from Mitchell lets Cambridge have their most dangerous moment of the game1

Mitchel gets away with missing the ball but Cambridge can't take advantage.1

Stevenage 0-2 Wycombe0

Absolutely , holding the ball up very very well against Morro who's got every trick in the book. Would back him to add another goal.2 -
Rooney is getting (yet another) pasting5

2-0 HT3

Cambridge's 22 Josh Stokes looks a useful player. On loan from Bristol City after coming through at AFC Sudbury and Aldershot.2

Good take by the Joondalup Jumper, over the top of the Cambridge full forward.
He's not had much to do so nice to see he was awake enough for that cross.2 -
That’s 3 good half’s of football in a row from us, not happened for a while8
-
Nice to see Miles enjoying scoring his goals3

Humble opinion watching on stream. Jones has got lucky that we’ve had a run of truly shite opponents. We’re two nil up and have essentially done fuck all. Midfield is non existent. Shocking football to watch. Zero atmosphere. Can hear every word the players are saying to each other. But we’re winning so mustn’t grumble too much I suppose (although I just did!).

A routine 2-0 lead. Cambridge look so poor at the back, that we ought to score again. We need to keep testing their keeper.1

Big fat Pete!!0

We’ve scored twice, haven’t conceded and are mixing it up more rather than playing route one. It’s a good improvement compared to the last few months.Sillybilly said:Humble opinion watching on stream. Jones has got lucky that we’ve had a run of truly shite opponents. Am sat here thinking the same. We have been ok, nothing great. They are tidy on the ball up to the penalty box then lack any quality at all. There keeper has looked awful. I'm not getting carried away, win today and I'll judge us against a far better team on Sunday. Only after that will we be able to tell if we have turned a corner although admittedly the football has been better today than in the last couple of months..FishCostaFortune said:
I don’t even think we’ve been that great this game. Cambridge have been the better side clearly.SELR_addicks said:Players been told they're getting sold if they don't perform?
The change from a month ago to now is incredible.
Either Lloyd Jones is Superman or Jones has stumbled onto our best starting 11.
It’s just football though. We were never as bad as people were making out, but now we have some players back it’s helping us a little bit.3 -
2-0, but we haven't dominated in the middle of the park.
However, our defence looks more study than theirs, and the strength of Leaburn and the pace of Campbell gives us the edge.

Midfield is very tame, TC first touch is not brilliant. Small is a threat but everything looks limp. We shouldn't complain but Wycombe will be a wake up if theres not much more urgency.

Nathan Jones talk to Lloyd Jones at h/t

There is the contract sign it.5 -
Cambridge playing the better football imo, but the only thing that matters is the score so it's been a decent half for us.1
-
Agreed. We've at least tried to pass the ball, Miles and TC are causing their defence lots of problems and a couple of decent crosses on the right from Small and Mitchell.Scoham said:

Plus Cambridge have had no proper shots on goal.2 -
Think we’re playing well but agree the midfield is lacking a bit of bite. Anderson for Berry would add bite but probably wouldn’t be a popular substitution1
-
How many times have we not beaten teams that are utter shite? Just need to be professional and beat what is in front of us.Sillybilly said:Humble opinion watching on stream. Watching the HT review on the Curbs concourse , did Sky really need 3 pundits

surely Cambridge will improve in the 2nd half?0

Christmas miracle, never believed in them before now.SDAddick said:Who is this footballing side who looks to build from the back and play it around on the edge of the area?!?!?!

Well that's a nice start . Hopefully we can build on it second half. Their keeper does look a bit dodgy though.
