Does Karen post on here, or does anyone know Karen?
Not a name or face I recognise, but bit in the programme yesterday that the game was her 750th consecutive home and away across all competitions.
That must be around 15 years, and given the overwhelming rubbish that’s been experienced during that time, plus the intro of the lower league cup, that’s a hell of a run. Even more incredible in that she travels from every game from Swindon! Bonkers stuff.
Anyway, congratulations Karen, amazing loyalty. Hope @killerjerrylee and @Fanny Fanackapan her name is considered for Supporter of The Year

When Karen was recognised for her achievement in reaching 500 consecutive matches, there was a page on the Charlton Facebook page to reflect that. One of the comments, is a somewhat poignant one from Seb Lewis:
"Congratulations Karen! I got to my 1,000th against Doncaster earlier this season. And 500th was also against Doncaster. Hopefully you'll reach my 1,000 achievement as well."
I would like to think that Seb is still with us, in spirit at least, at every home and away game.29 -
Personally I think one of these may be required especially all the way from Swindon.
or alternatively one if these

My girls and I have sat with Karen since the east stand was built. Was talking to her on Saturday and the last game she missed was in September 2008 and she has now done 761 consecutive games. This is all first team games no matter the dodgy cup that may include. A true Charlton fan and a lovely young lady as well17

Phenomenal achievement. Just going all that time without other things calling on your time is incredible, but always being sufficiently fit and in form to get picked is something else. Bravo!1

Their fuel bill from Swindon must be off the scale!0

Amazing ! the level of commitment is off the charts considering some of the dross over the years. Well done Karen0

Always amazes me when people do these incredible long stints without missing a game.
How have you not had a family commitment, work, or even a day when you were ill and felt rough as shit at any point in 15-20 years that has meant you missed just 1 game?2 - Sponsored links:
