Bolton fans are getting more restless game by game and us going in front tonight will show their anger towards Evett who has apologised after evidence was shown last night of him telling a few in the crowd to Foxtrot Oscar as he was walking down the tunnel at Halftime.
I like Monte's squad but given they apparently like to play out from the back, I'd have Karoy instead of Berry (who thinks a tackle is something between his legs).

If Ramsay is ready to return I'd bin Gillesphey and Berry and go 442 with TC wide right midfield and Small wide left midfield and Godden starting up front with Leaburn. I'd also be tempted to replace AMB with Mannion. I don't rate Gillesphey at all and don't think Berry has got the energy to start twice a week but alongside Aneke and Kanu is a decent option off the bench.
We've actually got a decent recent record of bouncing back when we concede 4 or more. The last 8 times we've done that in the League going back to February 2020 in the next 8 League games we've won 5, drawn 2, lost 1.
Bolton aren't playing well right now, and apparently was quite toxic on Saturday when they were losing to Cambridge. First goal is really important, if we get it and the crowd get on the team/Evatt's back I fancy us to win. Unfortunately starting games quickly has not been something we've been great at this season.
Fickle fans. Evatt is a good manager and has done well at the club, they have played good football for several seasons. They have had a horrid loss of form after that play-off final and have gradually recovered some of their confidence. I bet they finish higher than us, whether we beat them or not.
Mad that a win tonight would put us 4 points behind the playoffs with a game in hand and it feels like the season is over. 3 big games coming up where tonight is probably a must win. Pretty much every Bolton fan has turned on Evatt and could get nasty in there tonight if we're the better team. Good opportunity to use that in our favour.
Ultimately don't think we'll get playoffs in the end but it will defo be off if we lose tonight imo. Big game, give us something to cling onto lads.
A win tonight and the players and NJ will certainly have something about them. Please god the post-match interview doesn't feature "learned a lot about some of my players tonight", "we looked tired", "they wanted it more" - all excuses need to be left in the hotel.
Badly need a win tonight to plug that gap. Bolton are hardly setting L1 alight with a draw against mighty Cambridge. Win and it keeps things alive, 0-0, no help at all.
The scheduling of this fixture isn't ideal. Bolton after playing at home on Saturday, are at home again, whereas end up with 2 consecutive long distance away games (3 including the cup game).
That leaves little training time between our 2 games, so realistically I'm not expecting much change to the system.

"That was not us"
"We didn't do the basics properly"
"We're a Championship team really"
Not necessarily in that order.
Or another capitulation.
(It'll be 0-0 now...)

Win, and we can keep on kidding ourselves playoffs are still a possibility, but really the season will be over as well
Crap as we've been... we are still in it
