Well, what a week! It's the first time in the Prediction League's history that the average score was less than 1 point. Indeed, over half of those competing scored a big fat round zero points this week. The problem this week was that too many thought Manchester United and Charlton had turned a corner, not to mention Tottenham, Reading and Crawley Town being far from safe beats. Therefore, we should all raise our collective hats to

@Jonniesta spent the weekend on the Noughty Step for the first time this season, leaving just two non-Noughty-Steppers -

@Viewfinder. In the 2nd Round of the Prediction Knock-Out Cup, it was a bumpy day for several Premier League teams.
@Covered End succumbed to League Two opposition in the shape of
@tommo, while
@Killarahales,
@SaySomething, and
@Bods64 were thumped 5-0, 4-0 and 4-0 respectively by the Championship opposition of
@moutuakilla,
@AFKABartram and
@ThreadKiller. I would prefer to hide some of the facts, but the other Premier League flop was

@StrikerFirmani from League One. However, I am a bit pissed off because I agreed before the game to draw 0-0 so that
@StrikerFirmani could get some decent gate receipts from the replay. As it turned out, Luton came up trumps for
@StrikerFirmani to notch the all-important goal in a 1-0 win. I suppose it's a chance to get to know Charlton's summer signings before they arrive. It's a bit early to get excited about the Johnstones Paint Prediction Cup, but the local derby between
@Sillybilly and
@Billyboy ended up all square, which means they will have to battle it out again next week.
